Dropped into Bolougne to find almost all the shops and restaurants closed. We drove towards the harbour and purely by chance parked directly outside the Hamiot. We noticed that the Brasserie was open so went in for lunch. The food was top drawer and reasonable too. That good that we will stay at the Hamiot Hotel when we return to... More

I liked this place. The staff were helpful (no problem locating the car park) and the room was nicely decorated though typically French (small). The heating worked well, the bed was comfortable (ordinary double = small). The bathroom was well provided and the shower good. BUT the night I stayed there was a VERY NOISY storm with much wind, thunder,... More

I am not sure whether Welswander60's problem is. I stayed here on the 27th October, The check in was quick. The direction to the car park was detailed and I was even given a map showing me exactly where to go, the colour of the door, and the pin number. The receptionist was polite, courteous and helpful. Small hotels like... More

Having read other reviews and seen the photos, my husband and I were looking forward to our stay in this hotel, our last stop on a driving tour of France. Maybe we were just unlucky, but the young man on reception was less than helpful when directing us to the underground car park, and did not 'key in' our keycard,... More

We were with three friends enjoying a brief weekend jaunt to the area for some shopping. Decided to have lunch at Brasserie Hamiot and it was excellent. I had a really light and fluffy omelette with a huge green salad and all the others had a medium (but it was massive) marmite of moules in various forms. The restaurant was... More

Right on the busy bottom corner of the main road, overlooking the harbour. We have been here many times over the last twenty years, and it has not dropped its standards - or indeed changed in any way! A proper, traditional French brasserie, with a bustling, professional atmosphere and properly dressed, skilled waiters. And food just as we all remember... More

We found this restaurant by chance and feel so lucky to have done so. There were 12 of us in the group and after having a forced stop in Boulogne (where one of our group was taken ill and had to be taken to the hospital nearby). The number of people in our group was not a problem, we were... More

Reasonable price, good location, decent sized rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast. The lift is a little small - but better than none at all. The bistro below (and part of the hotel) makes an easy stop for a good quality evening meal or a quick drink. The rooms are of a decent size with a large bathroom. The bed was... More

Went for a short break and found this hotel in great location for town and sea. All walkable. Very friendly staff. Room with lovely view of port, comfy bed and good shower. Excellent 3star hotel with nice French atmosphere.
