We booked here for our last night before catching the ferry home. Hoping for a good nights sleep before the six hour drive back to Yorkshire. The hotel is located on an industrial estate near the Auchan supermarket /mall and if you are travelling up from the south quite badly signosted.
Check in is easy and the rooms clean and comfortable. Unfortunatly it was a very hot night and we had to leave the window open which was practically next door to the Bologne ring road. Still not properly asleep by 12.30 I was woken by an explosion.
We evacuated the hotel to find a car on fire in the carpark. When the fire brigate eventually turned up and extinquished the fire the car had obviously not been parked.
We could only assume that joy riders had brought it into what is quite a remote location and torched it. We did not receive any information from the hotel staff and returned to our rooms when it appeared safe to do so. I could not recommend this place due...
