This guest house is fantastic and the couple running it are so nice. I arrived on my motorcycle early and managed to wake Martial up as he had been on nights….he apologised to me although it was my fault. When he saw the bike he insisted on me parking it in their large garage together with his bike and a... More

We had a night here after arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris and before driving to the Eurotunnel in Calais. We wanted an area that hadn't been bombed into oblivion in WWII so would still have old buildings and character but that was still close to Calais. La Bononia was a great choice for our family group of... More

Booked here for a night when we popped to France - was a great find. Close to the town centre, easy on street parking, lovely room and great reception. Hosts were very friendly and would have been better if we had a few more nights to stay.

We stayed for one night with Caroline and Martial. What a lovely friendly couple. Their English is excellent and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The area is quiet and we slept well in the comfortable bed. There is ample parking right outside which is a bonus. A five minute walk into... More

We just had a lovely stay here. We stayed in a family room overlooking the street with a fab shower. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners who were kind and helpful. A short walk into the old town and lots of good restaurants. An excellent place to stay - it got the thumbs up from all... More

Thank you Caroline and Martial for looking after us so well. We stayed 3 nights at La Bononia and were very pleased with our choice. We had a large comfortable room which was very clean and nicely furnished overlooking the gardens. Also a large ensuite bathroom. Loved the breakfasts and the chats with Caroline and Martial and felt like family... More

Caroline and Martial are delightful hosts who enjoy the company of their guests each morning, around the breakfast table. Their suggestions for places to lunch or dine were excellent, as were the places to visit. We were welcomed to La Bononia by their daughters and shown to our comfortable room on the first floor. It was pleasantly spacious with a... More

We loved this B & B for a number of reasons. The location was great, just walking distance from the old town and town centre with many eating options in both. The bed and room were very comfortable. The en suite was compact but clean and functional. The highlight, though, was the people. Hosts Caroline and Martial were more than... More

Stayed for 2 nights in August in the 'Nausicca' family room. We were made to feel extremely welcome and the room was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and equipped with a fridge. It's a great location, just 5 minutes walk from the old town. The lovely breakfast took place in their large dining room, with all guests sharing one big table,... More
