We stayed at La Corne D'Or for just a one night stopover and found it to be very comfortable and homely. Rodney welcomed us warmly and was very helpful throughout our stay giving us good advice on where to eat and what to see in our very short time in Arras.. The house is interesting and quirky, the room very... More

Rodney and Phillipe are the courteous hosts in this renovated house a very short walk from the Grand'Place. Arras is a great starting point for your visits to the WW1 battlefields and memorials in the Artoise region and your hosts can provide excellent guidance on what to see and how to avoid some of the touring pitfalls. The breakfast provided... More

I had the pleasure of staying at Rodney and Philippe's beautiful B&B a couple of times in 2013. The house itself is a beautiful piece of history and I was captivated from the moment the front door opened onto a magnificent sweep of black and white tile down a long hall. The hosts clearly have an eye for detail and... More

We arrived at La Corne d'Or at the appointed hour, well tetchy after a gruelling 10 hour drive from the South….and... no reply at the door. Nor on the telephones, mobile and fixed…..still no response after an hour of trying….knocking, ringing the bell, ringing the two telephones. Finally, in despair, we went to a nearby (not very promising looking) hotel... More

Dear Guests, Thank you for your comments. We always ask our guests to advise us of their arrival time, so that we are present to welcome them. However, despite the fact that we were only a few metres from the door bell & our telephones, we did not hear them; we are still puzzled about this technical mystery. Please accept... More

We stayed 2 nights in the attic room, which was quite comfortable and spacious, although there are a lot of stairs. It's all been said, but Rodney & Phillipe are great hosts who do all they can to make your stay pleasurable. The breakfasts are very satisfying with home made goodies as well. Its location close to the centre of... More

In thirty years of travelling I have rarely felt more welcomed when staying in a hotel. Rodney and Philippe go out of their way to make you at home and to assist with travel arrangements, dinner, sightseeing or what ever you need to make your stay a success. The hotel is beautiful and the history of the house adds to... More

I stayed with Rodney and Philippe for 7 nights in May while doing day tours of the WW1 battlefields. They are fantastic hosts and in the end it was like staying with good friends. The room I was in was large, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and well laid out. The breakfast was excellent and included... More

Rodney and Philippe were terrific hosts and couldn't do enough to help make sure that all guests had a great time while visiting the very pretty town of Arrras. It was like staying with friends. The rooms are beautiful- individually decorated. Not like the normal run-of-the-mill hotel. Breakfast was superb using very high quality produce sourced from local artisans.

We had a great stay here for the first time last weekend and It will not be our last visit. The town of Arras is lovely and the accommodation has a character and style all of its own; a memorable all round experience. It was crowned by the outstanding hospitality of Rodney and Philippe who were excellent hosts from start... More

Greeted as soon as we arrived by Rodney, what a kind and spectacular gentleman. The accommodations were very comfortable, clean, fresh and the location was perfect. Very helpful and genuinely wanted to make certain that your stay was first rate and that you also enjoyed yourself while away from the property whether it was visiting museums, WW 1 cemeteries, etc....
