The Mercure was one of a few hotels right across the street from the train station in Arras... the proprietors spoke some English and were helpful in gettng what was required... had a 12 day stay and the quarters became a little cramped as was working there most of the evening... Arras has a certain charme all it's on... from... more

Stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday over the UK Bank Holiday. Booked through a last minute deal, so slightly discounted from the norm for a superior room. Offered "a view" (of main road) or a quieter room. Spotless, very clean and tidy, bed was extremely comfortable! The hotel restaurant is undergoing refurbishment, but we had dinner in an alternative (windowless)... more

This hotel was everything I could ask for in a hotel, clean, comfortable, good location, good value for money. It is right outside the train station on Place Marechal Foch and is a stone's throw from the two main squares in Arras. Our room was lovely and big too. I can't recommend this highly enough more

I booked this hotel because although it cost more than others it offered access to the internet and air con. I booked a superior room. When we arrived the windowsill was collapsing and the room was of a worse quality than the ordinary room we had the previous night in the Perigeuex Mercure. There was only wi fi access to... more

I stayed here for 4 nights in August as one of 28 guests with a coach party. Hotel is located within easy walking distance from Grand Place. Nice little bar across the road - much nicer and cheaper than hotel bar. We were given a set dinner menu each evening - on two of the four evenings the food was... more

Have used the hotel for personal (leisure) trips since 2002 and for three coach parties (2004, 2006 and recently in July 2008). Although not right in the centre it is well located being easy to find from all routes, close to the station and the three main squares (Place Mshl. Foch, Place les Heros and the Grand Place). Parking is... more

We stayed at the Mercure Atria Arras Centre Hotel for 3 nights in June 2008. The hotel was very close to the city centre and a good base for sightseeing. Check-in was quick and easy. We stayed in Room 416 which was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. It had the... more

This was the fourth time that I have stayed at the Hotel and I always use it as a base for Somme Battlefield tours. Once again the hotel came up to the previous high standards that I have enjoyed. Rooms are very good and the breakfasts are excellent. A good hearty buffet breakfast sets you up well for the day.... more

Yes this hotel lacks charm, and for those wanting a traditional french ambiance this would be the wrong choice, but for those wanting a clean safe car park,a simple room that works, and a location close to the station ,an easy stroll to shops and the sights it's a good choice.Great market in the historic main square on Wednesday and Saturday. Breakfast... more

We are regular travellers to France and have visited Arras more often than most British cities. No problems with the town or indeed the other hotels stayed in on previous visits. This time though we took a punt on the Mercure, simply because we had got good deals with the chain at other hotels in the group on this particular... more
