We were looking forward to a stay in what we thought is a charming traditional hotel in the historic Arras. Instead, we found Hotel d'Anglettaire to be rather old and unfortunately, not particularly clean. The decor in the public areas is quite outdated. Bed linens reminded the first world war and furniture- the second. Some sockets along with the wiring... More

Stayed just one night en route to the Tunnel, very friendly staff, and room very spacious, would agree that some parts of the Hotel are a bit tired. But all in all, it is a well located hotel for the centre of Arras, clean friendly, and good value. We ate at the hotel and were amazed at good value and... More

This hotel has seen better days and needs a good makeover. How it is classed four star I really don't know. There are not even tea/coffee facilities in rooms. Staff were helpful, breakfast was expensive for not very much. Prices are excessive for the quality of the hotel. On the positive, we stayed there it visit WW1 sites in the... More

Oh dear me. I do not like to criticise BUT a very disappointing stay at this hotel. Dark corridors leading to a drab bedroom with such a dirty carpet. Sad, tired and needing a complete refurbishment. The air conditioning was not working and it was so hot. We opened the windows wide, we were staying on the fourth floor and... More

Oh my - this hotel has seen better days. I'll start with the positive - the staff were extremely nice and our room was very large, albeit with furnishings that were dated. Other than some unappealing stains on the chairs, the room was clean, bed decent and everything worked. The entrance to the building is so unappealing that we thought... More

Sorry to disagree in some respects with other reviewers, but as a party of five we were disappointed overall and normally in England would expect a higher general standard. The good points were the location in the heart of the town, and the very spacious, well furnished rooms. In addition the staff were very pleasant and friendly. However, in a... More

Lovely hotel, friendly helpful staff, superb rooms and wonderfully large and comfy beds. Stayed three nights and toured WW1 sites on the Somme, Thiepval, Vimy Ridge etc. Breakfast adequate - didn't eat in restaurant - but overall and excellent base and very central for all the sights of Arras. Would recommend and would stay here again

Medium sized hotel with large rooms and large, comfortable beds. Tidy decor, in need of some refurbishment, disappointing to have a curtain hanging loose from the rail at one end, a very simple thing to remedy.large bathroom with good over bath shower, equipped as you may expect 4 stars. Very quiet and a good night's sleep. Breakfast was simple and... More

We loved the comforts of this hotel. It had amazingly large rooms and a lovely French feeling. We loved the old fashion furniture and very much what we expected. The staff were friendly and the hotel was quiet. Arriving and leaving by train was easy as it is just a walk across the square. We found some good restaurants close... More
