Review of the restaurant...not hotel. Ate lunch there passing through the town. Not a large menu selection, but the daily special..salad, fries and steak all on one big platter was just the ticket. Service is about a quick as I have seen...the wait staff moving at a fast pace and smiling. I ate on the enclosed porch overlooking the street.... More

In a very busy restaurant at lunchtime, full of locals, the service was second to none, and the food very tasty. We had a 'menu' salade du jour, plat du jour, beer and coffee, which was very reasonable . would certainly recommend this restaurant, and this was in November !

We took a day trip to Mazamet, gorgeous views and worth the visit. Only problem was we couldn't find anything open for lunch but this place. There were lots of locals eating there so we figured it must be pretty good. It was ok, generous portion, but nothing memorable or special.

We had a great lunch here, served by a British waitress who somehow ended up in Mazamet, who knows, maybe she was on the run. Anyway, the salads were fresh and tasty, the bread delicious and the service brisk and efficient, which was lucky as the joint was heaving with hungry French people.

We had a set menu at the restaurant ( the review is for the restaurant not the hotel). The starter was aceptable (pretty flavourless jellied terrine) but had the appearance of having been prepared, plated and refrigerated well in advance. The main was tasty(kebabs), but the dessert was a real disappointment. My creme brulee didn't appear to have been baked-... More

This review is for the restaurant, not the hotel. We went at lunchtime, mid week. It was very busy with plenty of locals there. We ordered muscles. The portions were generous, however they did not appear to have been cleaned at all and still had the 'beards' attached. They were also overcooked and rather chewy. It's the first time I'd... More

For a Brit with poor French I couldn't have asked for more from my French waiter, he spoke good English and was amused by my attempt at French. Good food, simple fresh and tasty, lovely salad and dressings plus super service all for a very acceptable price. Kids were well catered for as well.
