Enjoyed our stay at Le France. Perfect for an overnight stopover between trains. Received a warm welcome from the staff on reception, who kindly let us use their private garage to store our bikes securely free of charge. Our room was very clean and recently renovated with nice modern bathroom and everything we needed for a good nights sleep. Nice... More

We called in for a bite to eat while waiting for our train from the station directly opposite the restaurant. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained, and my wife was impressed with the toilets. The food was served promptly and was delicious. Staff were helpful and approachable, despite the 'language barrier'. All in all, a recommended experience despite... More

We chose this hotel only because we were desperate - there was a massive train strike all around France and we've got stuck here for 2 nights. The only good thing about the rooms is that they are clean. But they are super old, bathroom made of plastic (1960s style) - The corridors of the hotel can easily compete with... More

Great staff, especially Jacky, looked after us on a long weekend break in Brive. Used this hotel as a refuge from the disastrous hotel we booked (see other review for this area!) and from breakfast to late night drinks it was brilliant!! Would recommend highly to any traveller.

The sign says "Being Renovated" and it does need it. However, the problems are cosmetic and this is not a Travel Lodge/ Ibis plastic box and nor is the price. Parking was free, the restaurant Ok and the staff helpful but the room though clean was old-fashioned. It was value for money, convenient for the station (which I wanted) and... More

The worst service i ever had since i started to travel. I had the very very bad luck to meet the owner and the manager of the place because the "fresh hors d'oeuvres buffet" was totally disgusting and not fresh at all. The great management of this hotel totally ignore my comments, and even treated me as liar (when discussion... More

Bright reception and restaurant area but upstairs where the rooms are it is rather smelly and the rooms cramped. We were showed two rooms. One had 6 beds and has almost no natural lighting. The window, partly obscured by a bunk bed, opened straight onto the cleaning area. The other room was over the street opposite the station so tthat... More
