My small group stayed 7 nights spread out over three different hotels in Provence/Languedoc, and there is no question that Hotel la Magnaneraie was the best of the three. Large nicely-appointed rooms, enormous bathrooms (not all rooms, but some), gorgeous grounds, extraordinary staff, and a good location just outside of Avignon. My only quibble is that while the pool is... More

Loved this hotel. Charming staff. Lovely large suite with own outdoor sitting area. Nice swimming pool. Good location as the village is lovely - much nicer than Avignon which is very large and busy. You need to put on mosquito repellant when sitting outside but it's a lovely garden and eating outside is lovely. Food was ok but service was... More

Lovely hotel in a very quiet suburban position. Away from the bustle of Avignon but only 5/10 minutes to a free car park on the edge of town. Also only 10 minutes walk to the village where there is a good selection of restaurants. We had an attractive spacious room, which was well appointed and had lovely views over the... More

We stayed for one night in July 2014. We had a suite which was very large and beautifully appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant which has a large outdoor dining area is beautiful. The menu is very limited and by French standards was nothing special. My wife ordered the fish of the day which was not... More

My husband and I stayed here in 2013 on our first trip to Provence and it was PERFECT. It's a little difficult to find if you're driving and don't speak French, but besides that it was amazing. It's exactly what you would expect - stone architecture with light blue shutters. Our room was upscale and luxurious. They have a nice... More

our recent stay at La Magnaneraie was very good. Charming hotel in area perfect for excursions to surrounding points of interest. Our room was on 2nd floor overlooking gardens. Room was more of a suite: large sleeping area, great bath, and phenomenal porch. Breakfast excellent, staff friendly, area surrounding hotel quiet. If one suggestion, a small refrigerator in room would have been most welcomed. Our 3 night stay was... More
