A beautiful property that has clearly seen better days. Although it has a wonderful garden and Provencal atmosphere, and is very conveniently located in a quiet area, it needs more attentive housekeeping and a manager who understands customer service. We had 2 double rooms, one with (formerly) lovely antique furniture, chandelier, upholstered headboards, nicely-painted walls, and the other with much... More

Our travel agent found this hotel for our 4 night stay when we explored Avignon, Pont du Gard, and other nearby areas. It was a very good location with minimal traffic issues and easy access to restaurants. The hotel's main building was originally a Cardinal's palace prior to the French Revolution. It is old but still impressive. The weather was... More

Finally found this hotel at the end of a long road on the outskirts of the village. The hotel was superb, very French, lovely rooms . The gardens, in need of a little TLC, were nice, the swimming pool a bonus. The only problem was the dining room , whilst it's wonderful to eat of Limoges China it's difficult to... More

My small group stayed 7 nights spread out over three different hotels in Provence/Languedoc, and there is no question that Hotel la Magnaneraie was the best of the three. Large nicely-appointed rooms, enormous bathrooms (not all rooms, but some), gorgeous grounds, extraordinary staff, and a good location just outside of Avignon. My only quibble is that while the pool is... More

Loved this hotel. Charming staff. Lovely large suite with own outdoor sitting area. Nice swimming pool. Good location as the village is lovely - much nicer than Avignon which is very large and busy. You need to put on mosquito repellant when sitting outside but it's a lovely garden and eating outside is lovely. Food was ok but service was... More

Lovely hotel in a very quiet suburban position. Away from the bustle of Avignon but only 5/10 minutes to a free car park on the edge of town. Also only 10 minutes walk to the village where there is a good selection of restaurants. We had an attractive spacious room, which was well appointed and had lovely views over the... More

We stayed for one night in July 2014. We had a suite which was very large and beautifully appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed here in 2013 on our first trip to Provence and it was PERFECT. It's a little difficult to find if you're driving and don't speak French, but besides that it was amazing.
