Lucky us, we managed to get a room the night before our Eurostar back to the UK. It was meant to be a convenient stop over but proved to be a real highlight of our holiday. A lovely garden room with plenty of space for the family (no air con, but fans provided). The hotel was very traditional, rustic but... More

A warm welcome, very helpful staff, cosy hotel with a typical atmosphere including the not well maintained interior. Enjoyed the breakfast as well. Stairs are small and difficult to climb with luggage. Beds are terrible and the bath was in the bedroom (room 52, 'superior' room). After a shower the water was leaking and as a result water flowed under... More

Plenty of parking close to the hotel, excellent renovation of an old silk factory, size of rooms more than adequate, location convenient to historical, but very crowded Avignon as long as you have a car, but what made our stay most delightful was the staff.

We were just in Villeneuve-les-Avignon for one night, to attend a chamber music concert. What a charming little hotel this was! Perfect location. Large, comfortable room overlooking the square. Stephan was absolutely delightful, and quite helpful in recommending sites in the village to visit. I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to the area.

We spent a week in a villa in Provence and needed to catch an early TGV train, so wanted a place close to the station. This was a quick 10 min drive to the car rental/ TGV station. We found this hotel by chance and were impressed. The quaint, quiet town of Villeneuve les Avignon is across the river Rhone from... More

Julie and Stephane are wonderful, generous hosts in this charming small hotel. If you're planning to visit Avignon, this village right outside of it has its own wonderful historic sites (such as the Chartreuse Cloisters - magnificent) and nice restaurants - and the hotel is utterly delightful, with pleasant rooms and a beautiful patio with tables for a picnic or... Our visit to this area to see family was highlighted by our stay in this traditional hotel. Our room overlooked the rear courtyard where we spent some time reading and enjoying a glass of the local wine. The Hotel is situated in the middle of Villeneave where there are some nice restaurants to dine in. The staff were very helpful... More

Having stayed at the Magnanerie earlier this year, for our return last week we chose the L'atelier as we had seen it previously, in the heart of Villeneuve. What a joy this B&B is, Personally family run , lovely room ( number 50 first floor fronting the road ) although facing the road it is still very quiet with the... More

Jean & Anne hosted us very well in our short stay at de L'atelier. They were very helpful and took great care of us. Its a special hotel with a very nice ambience and lovely rooms. Staying in Villeneuve Les Avignon was a great idea as it wasn't that out of the way and transit into Avignon was very easy.... More

Staying at the “Hotel l’Atelier” was one of the most unpleasant hotel stays I have ever experienced. The nightmare began even before we arrived. Although the hotel claims to be in Avignon, it is actually located three kilometers from the town center, too far to walk, so we rented a car. We arrived to find that there is no loading... More
