Situated in the centre of the small town and an eight minute bus ride from Avignon, L'Atelier is a great find. The rooms are individual, well decorated and comfortable. The service is excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. It is great value for money.

When coming to Avignon your first thoughts come of Hotel De l'Atelier. The Hotel has changed ownership undergoing many improvements in the process. It is a small tradititional family hotel with lovely features. Breakfast is included in your booking fee. One can access tea, coffee and fruit at ones leisure all day. The owner and manager are very accomodating and... More

We stayed with friends in Lyon who took us by car to visit Avignon with an overnight stop. They found this hotel on Tripadvisor and were impressed by the reviews. It certainly was a lovely little hotel - cosy, historic, intimate and comfortable with a welcoming atmosphere. The young English-speaking proprietor Stefan is rightly proud of his hotel. He was... Just returned from staying here for a week. This hotel stands out because of its uniqueness and artistic intererior. Room was very comfortable, cleaned daily with fresh towels supplied. Owner and staff very friendly and efficient. Location was perfect as after a long day sightseeing, it was a delight to return to the peace and tranquility of the hotel and... More

We arrived in Avignon and decided that the city was too busy and not the idyllic setting we had in mind. The Office of Tourism suggested this hotel, among a few others and we drove off to see it. It was perfect and just what we were looking for, the owner was so very helpful and attentive. We had breakfast... More

This great find was ideal for us. Stefan was very kind and helpful and gave great recommendations on places to eat. There was a bus stop at the end of the road which took you straight the the gate into the old city in Avignon. Hotel de l'Atelier was surrounded by beautiful old buildings made out of Sandstone which gave... More

We stumbled into Avignons walled city chaos under a recent (Sept) afternoon thunderstorm combined with peak hour to realise it was not the place for us, so with an iPad, and TripAdvisor was able to find quite late in the piece the best hotel on our entire French month long experience. We were met at the door by Stefan, the... More

My husband and I happened upon Hotel de L'Atelier by chance while escaping the chaos of Avignon and venturing into Villeneuve located on the other side of the river. We were warmly greeted by Stefan, the proprietor and owner of Hotel L'Atelier. The accommodations are charming. Beds are comfortable. The lovely courtyard is a great place to enjoy a glass... More

My Husband and his friend stayed here for 2 nights at the end of a mammoth cycling journey across Italy and France. From the moment they arrived at the front door where they were greeted by the receptionist offering to store their bicycles to the time they left 2 days later, they were looked after like Lords! The 16th century... More
