This is a really first class Hotel in a delightful village. We negotiated a room for £100 a night and stayed 4 nights. However, the restaurant is over priced, almost a ‘rip off’ so is the breakfast, a slice of bread, a croissant and a cup of coffee:- £15! Dinner is at least £100 for two. The good news is... more

My wife and I just returned from a stay in Paris, Provence and the Riviera. Our days at Le Prieure were extremely enjoyable and relaxing. As indicated by the most recent review, this Relais & Chateaux property has been fully renovated. The renovations add high-end modern features to a building that retains its historic and charming facade. The bedrooms and... more

I have stayed at Le Prieure many times and was amazed to read such a bad review. True, the bathroom fittings were a bit dated and the furniture was old style, but it's redeemed by the nice pool, friendly staff, outdoor restaurant (lovely in the evenings, but pricey) and characterful architecture in the main building. However, the hotel rooms have... more

When you do all of your research and book at a Relais & Chateaux facility you are unlikely to go too far wrong, well that is until you book at Le Prieure. I don't even know where to begin. I should have known as I read the reviews here on Trip Advisor and saw photos of the rooms. But nooooo,... more

This was one of my least favorite hotels in all my travels through France save this one 2.5 star in Paris back during my college days (thank god for sleep sacks). Yes, the grounds are very pretty, though the pool seemed strangely out of place to me. The staff all seemed pleasant, though the manager seemed studied and cold. We... more

Reviews on this hotel are decidely mixed. Both are right, but neither extreme is warranted. The hotel is old in style, and if you like newly refurbished Hiltons then it won't be to your taste, but a newly refurbished Hilton won't give you this kind of space. Our superior room would easily qualify as a suite in a chain. It... more

We loved this. Stayed here on our honeymoon. The service was incredible, friendly and not at all pushy. Our room was good - a little outdated but who cares when you have such a lovely, large terrace to yourself. The food at the restaurant was outstanding - an absolute gastronomique experience. We can't wait to go back. We liked going... more

I was really looking forward to a break at Le Prieure due to it being part of the R & C group and was therefore somewhat dismayed to find the hotel a huge disappointment. On arriving at the hotel the first minute was quite pleasurable walking through the beautiful gardens adjacent to the swimming pool. However as soon as we... more

My husband and I stayed at Le Prieure in October, 2005, for two nights. It was our first experience staying at a Relais & Chateaux property. What a diappointment! We echo everything the Trip Advisor from N.Y. said in his Nov. 20 comments, with this additional: I believe we had a "better" room -- rather like the one described in... more

One would never imagine that this secluded, gated property is in the center of a sizable town. It is quiet and elegant. The staff is hospitable and efficient. We loved our original room until the TGV roared by, but, in response to our request for a room change, we were given an even larger room with an huge balcony overlooking... more
