We've had a busy year as owners of holiday cottages in Cornwall and really needed our holiday in France (mainly visiting friends) to get off to a relaxing start ! We were not disappointed. Everything about the Chateau was first class. The food was amazing, the staff charming, Sandrine an excellent hostess and our suite (in the Barn) very comfortable.... more

A really friendly, luxurious family run hotel where nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The highlight of our touring holiday in France. We stayed in the Annexe simply because we booked too late in the year for a room in the main castle. We thought this was great, in contrast to the other comments here - the room... more

We stopped off here for one night out of a weeks travelling, and found it hard to tear ourselves away. Definately the highlight of our trip, a delightful experience. There are a wide range of rooms, I suggest you check / negotiate before booking, must be in the castle. Ours was on the 2nd floor, nothing special with regard to... more

Not being sure how far we would travel ,we booked on the day to be told we had the last room and only the annex was available. On arrival there was a choice of 2 rooms both in the annex. The room lacked any character, the towels were more suited to a one star hotel and the bathroom light switch... more

Just returned from a short break to s.w. france and spent two nights at the Chateau de la Caze near St Enemie in the Gorge du Tarn. Autumn is a great time to visit this area with misty mornings and warm afternoons and the colours in the trees are breathtaking, forget New England if you live in Old England -... more

Having been twice now, we can say this is one of the most romantic places to stay anywhere. To stay in any old castle is a privilige; to stay in so charming a castle, overlooking the Tarn, at the bottom of one of the grand gorges, with a decent if slightly stuffy restaurant, is surely what life is all about.... more

I have not stopped raving about our experience at Chateau de la Caze since we got home. This place was the highlight of our European holiday. Built in 1592 of stone with a moat and walls a metre thick it simply oozes history and charm. Sandrine was an excellent hostess and couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. If... more

My husband and I spent 10 days in France in April, 2005. We drove straight from Paris to Chateau de la Caze (6-7 hours) and the days and nights we spent here were the best of our trip, despite the overcast sky and sometimes rainy weather. The chateau was lovely, the rooms an excellent blend of modern comfort and charm.... more
