I laugh writing this because it appears that these days any old place can call itself an excellent hotel. What a joke, this place was falling apart, the rooms were extremely basic, the shower didn't even work and the general decor was horrible. Overall an expensive horrible hotel. Avoid this if you can. more
We arrived after a 460 mile journey, so were fairly tired. The greeting was friendly, the proprietor insisted on carying our cases from reception (I had laready carried them up the pouter stairs). this hotel is a 2 star logis de france , how they managed to get 2 stars is beyond me, it must be a box ticking excercise. What a Dump Part II Hotel was last decorated in the 80's and was probably last cleaned then too. Chipped cracked tiles in mis-matching bathroom, broken shutters and sometimes rude staff. Pool last used in 1998 but the look of it. Not to be recommended in any way, shape or form. more

We booked in for a Sunday night, when we phoned they said there would be no-one on reception and gave us a code no to get into the place and a room number, the key would be on the desk.
