What a gem! We were recommended the restaurant by the hotel opposite. Firstly we had lunch of a plate of cheeses and a plate of meats which we shared, very good. Later we had dinner and chose Le Chardon Ardent which was a pyramid of metal with chunks of steak on it and brandy was poured over it and flamed.... More

This is a great place to stay when skiing at Font-Romeu. You can walk from the hotel to the cable car easily. The rooms have a cozy wooden interior, and the hotel had lovely reception staff. Bed sheets and towels were clean. I would return here again!

We stayed two nights while hiking in the mountains near Font-Romeu. The hotel caters to active people, skiers, hikers, cyclists, all in their season. Our hotel room had a bathtub! Joy. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and very well priced. It was just fine to rest our hike-weary bones. More significantly, the restaurant was a real treat. The... More

Hotel De La Poste is a familiar hotel/restaurant. I've been in the restaurant several times and only once in the hotel. They have awesome food in a very cozy place. The rooms are OK, not much but they're also cozy and good for a short stay. Friendly staff and good price.

I stayed there in August 2013. I was surprise how the receptionist was friendly. We share some jokes, it was friendly. The location is pretty good, in the heart of Font-Romeu, close to everything what you need. In the 4 bedroom, there is 1 double bed in 1 room and the 2 others in another. The matress for the singles... More

The building outside is decorated with paintings of the fauna in the Pyrenees, very different from the other hotels nearby which are very plain and simple. The rooms are very cosy, with wooden walls, beds are comfterable. The staff are extremly friendly.

We arrived at the hotel at about 5pm, to be told we had no booking and it was closed! This was in spite of having booked our one-night off-season stay directly with the hotel. Never mind - we were welcomed and shown to a room in the deserted four storey building. We had asked for a room with a view... More
