After walking around Beziers which was nearly deserted by 6pm, we came across the Mercure Hotel. Very expensive at €140 per night and we just about gave up when the receptionist beckoned us to the side and told us to go next door to the Etap Hotel. We went there to find the same receptionist at the Hotel desk .... more
