We did not stay here, however had coffee every morning sitting in the square and on Saturday night's enjoyed beer and dancing too! Mathieu and Jonathon are two of the most delightful, warm, funny and intetesting guys we have met. I absolutely adored everything about them from the get go. On our last day were treated to a simply gorgeous... More

Thanks for the compliments, glad you enjoyed the best coffee in Argelès, the breakfast (it's the local ingredients that make it so tasty!), and dances in the square. We look forward to seeing you back at l'Hostalet's Côté Place café. More

Spent three lovely days here in late September. Room on first floor overlooking Place de la Republique was spotless and very comfy. Lovely bathroom with rainhead shower. Breakfast in the shady square was perfect. Matthieu and John are charming and très sympats...Matthieu even accompanied me to the station upon my departure. Amazing place.

We're happy you have lovely memories of your stay at l'Hostalet. Thank the old mulberry trees for the shade during breakfast, it is sunny in the morning in the square in September. Glad you liked the room overlooking the square, too. More

This is a small hotel in la rue de la République in the middle of Argeles-sur -Mer. Although we didn't actually stay there we used it as a cafe daily and so got to know the owners, John who is English and Matthieu who is French. They are extremely nice and attentive with their clients who sat at tables in... More

We like that our guests can mix with holidaymakers and locals at l'Hostalet's Côté Place café in the village square, especially with the concerts/dances in front of the old Mairie (now the school of music) in summer ... and we get to meet lovely people like you! Thanks for the kind words. More

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The love and care which the owners take to ensure you have a good stay is just brilliant. Attention to detail and a gorgeous room as well as a lovely breakfast all made our stay unforgettable.

What a wonderful comment. Thank you so much. We're happy you have nice memories of l'Hostalet, the room (decorated with artwork by local artists), and the breakfast in the square (we're making our kumquat jam now!). More

I was spending a weekend with my boyfriend in this faboulous B&B in Argeles-sur-Mer, a small village only a 30 minutes promenade from the beach. We had a room on the top floor in this penthouse, very nice decorated and furnished in an old style. The room was clean, had air condition (excellent for hot summer days in the south... More

Thanks for your very kind review. It is a lovely walk to the beach (via the secret path) from l'Hostalet, we're glad you enjoyed it and our other tips for getting around and seeing things. Pleased you liked the room too (its indispensable air conditioning), the deco (sourced locally mostly, like the Catalan fabric). We are lucky to be surrounded... More

The hotel is located in the old town about a mile from the sea and is very local. The touristy 'tacky' part of the newer town by the sea was not to our liking, but old Argeles was. The owners of this excellent B&B have an eye for detail. Our room on the top floor had lovely crisp linen sheets,... More

We're happy you enjoyed the spacious top-floor room and tasty (non-English) breakfast at l'Hostalet in old Argelès-sur-Mer village - thanks for the kind review. We're lucky we can direct guests to some of the region's best restaurants (like La Bartavelle) just steps away from our door, glad you appreciated them. True, on market days access by car around the old... More

First, if you are in this village, you must have a reason. Cezanne? I am an art and antique connaiseur as well as food and wine. How can you get any better than waking up in the morning and finding the chef and his wife of the best restaurant in this village having breakfast in their kitchen - I said... More

Excellent small B&B serving locally sourced drinks. The server (manager?) was incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing and cool under trees in the court yard. A small haven in a busy holiday town. Would definitely visit again. staying in the B&B in a holtown

We were welcomed by the owners on arrival who helped us collect our luggage from our parked car. The hotel has been perfectly, tastefully renovated and is a great location with excellent restaurants within walking distance. The owners recommended places of interest and couldn't do enough for us. We would recommend staying at the L'Hostalet.
