We visited the hotel in August 2009 with our two young kids aged 5 and 3. We wanted to visit the Miniatura Land in Elancourt, well worth it. Although the Pavillon Henri IV is very nicely located with a beautiful view of St Germain-en-Laye, the room was stuffy, dusty and old. The hotel website photos are not factual. The bathroom... More

The management of this hotel guarantee in their confirmation of my reservation to take care of a room without being inconvenienced by a marriage party at the same weekend. Till early in the morning 03.00 hours the noise was incredibly loud. Our clearly motivated complaint was ignored, The management dare to propose to give us a voucher for a small... More

One look at the spread of ratings for this hotel shows a noticeable bulge in the 'average' department. Looking at the ill-fitting doors, the tools lying about outside my room, the plastic sheeting over the carpet, the cover-less ironing board, curtain-less bathroom and the dodgy electrics that shorted the entire first floor the minute I plugged the iron in, I'd... Stayed here for a week on a business trip. Loved the location and proximity to train and the office. The history of the hotel is great and there is a lot of potential there. But it was not the best experience. First off we flew from the US and arrived at 11am. We were told our rooms MIGHT be ready... More

Management policy is to organise parties at the hotel with extremely loud music till late at night ( 03.30) and charge guests full rate for not being able to sleep. The reaction of the management gives reason to assume tis happens quite frequently.

I've been on the road for a while for work and was pleasantly surprised at the location of the hotel. The rooms were clean and basically french reproduction. I actually enjoyed my stay and the hotel staff at reception were warm and understanding, (and had no problem in speaking english, as I have no knowledge of french). The best part... More

Pavilion Henri IV is what remains of the "new castle" of St Germain-en-laye built originally by King Henri IV. I am very surprised at the negative reviews because this was not our experience. It was actually my husband's 2nd time there and my first. First, bathrooms are being renovated and ours was done and was wonderful! Yes, the hotel IS... More

Was here in november 2007 and again June 2011 for a short break with the boyfriend. Could have gone to another country, but I wanted to come back to Pavillon Henri again. Loved it the first time and again the second. The staff were very friendly, the room was beautiful, real vintage decoration not the modern-wannabe type. Spacious room with... More

This hotel has a prime location with direct access to the park, a short walk to the town and close to good restaurants and the RER into Paris. It looks like somewhere that used to be glorious but is in need of an up date. The rooms were in need of redecoration and a good airing. The bathrooms were old... More
