We stayed here during our first night in Paris. Hotel room itself is very nice, enough for 3-star. Free high-speed Internet. Next door to a large shopping center with supermarkets and all kinds of fast-food/restaurants/stores. The only problem is location: about 10-15 minute walk to metro station. Free shuttle every 30 minutes. We waited 29 minutes at the metro station... more

We were transfered to this hotel from another in this chain. The staff was great, food was very good. The rooms are smaller than in North America but are very well furnished. The hotel was going through some renovations but it did not disturb our group at night or at any time during our stay. They had security walking the... more

Husband and I stayed here as part of a Trafalgar tour in sept 2007. The hotel room wasn't bad, was clean and had been refurbished. The biggest drawback to this hotel for tourists is the location, so I don't recommend it. Also we had a weird incident occur during our stay, see below. The location simply isn't good for tourists.... more

I stayed at Mercure in Courbevoie during the middle of March. Its a nice hotel but if you stay there get a rooms that points toward the surroundings and not in the middle (The hotel in a round shape like a donut). When I arrived at the hotel it was well fashioned and people spoke English (good thing because all... more

I spent a week at this hotel, and everything was good. Not great, but good. The highlight was the attentiveness of the staff: my stay was booked in a somewhat complex way, but they handled it great. Although not overly spacious, the room was clean, and the common areas attractive. The location is good for business in La Defense, but... more

Had a business stay here for 2 nights in Nov 07, my impressions are that it's adequatly grim even though it's a 3 Star hotel this was fairly ordinary for the very high room rates that were being charged (even though the company was paying). Not impressed with the room which was basic, stall smelling, no mini bar and had... more

Stayed here as part of a 3 week European business trip taking in 7 cities. This was by far the WORST hotel I stayed at on this trip and any others previously. Rooms old and smelly with 2 single beds and grotty blankets. Had to do a three point turn to get into the bathroom which was old and grim.... more

I stayed at the Mercure La Defense 5 as part of a Tourist Class Eurpoean tour. I found the accomodations to be exceptional in comparison to other hotels in other countries. The srooms were large, clean, and nicely decorated... equiped with all the modern ammenities. Although the hotel was not located near Paris attractions (eiffle tower, louvre.. etc) ... a... more

First of all, I would like to thank those that reviewed this hotel previously, as they were accurate indeed. Our room was on the 8th floor, room was spacious and very clean. Bedding was a warm douvet blanket and we had an LCD tv in the room. We had a tub/shower so the bathroom was a good size. AC worked... more
