We were on a one night stopover in St Dizier on our way north, and found to our surprise that all the hotels in the town were full except the Ibis which oly had a family room left. We took it and had a lot of space to spread out suitcases etc.
St Dizier seems to cater mainly for business travellers which explains the problems finding midweek accommodation.
The standards of comfort, cleanliness and decor are high.
The hotel does not have its own restaurant as such but is attached to a Courte Paille where both food and service are perfectly acceptable.
