This was the last hotel of the 11 nights we stayed in B&B hotels whilst touring around France and one of the very best. The location was a bit off the beaten track if you are approaching from the south, but getting back onto the Autoroute going north in the morning was very slick. The room itself featured an open... Close to the main road around Chalons this hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate but there are a couple of decent restaurants within walking distance. Easy to drive into Chalons and we found plenty of convenient, and free, parking in town.

Chose this hotel because it was cheap and we had a previous good experience with the B&b chain at Mont St Maran unfortunately next to the previous one it paled in comparison. The hotel was older and more jaded sited on a retail area but there were restaurants nearby. The rooms are similar to a travel lodge without tea and coffee makers.For... Even with small overnight cases, it was very welcome that this B&B Hotel had a lift to whisk us to the third floor. It helped considerably that the receptionist on duty when we arrived had a reasonable grasp of English to better our ‘O’ level French. With rooms about the same size as the newer Travelodges (on the small to... More

This may be a convenient place to stay, but it is completely devoid of any charm. It was a barracks overlooking a cemetery on an industrial estate. Whilst there are restaurants nearby they are not appealing - I did not think that it was possible to get bad food in France, but this proved me wrong. We will be avoiding... More

Helpful receptionist showed us where to leave our trailer overnight. Like the entry code instead of a key or a card. Room very basic and simple, but large king size bed, very comfortable. Next time wouldn't bother to buy breakfast.

We have used B&B hotels before so knew we could expect simple but comfortable accommodation. I did however dislike the layout of this room compared with others we have used although the shower was excellent. We were not very happy with our welcome as the receptionist insisted on charging us more than was quoted on our confirmation. I did get... More

Stayed one night on way from Calais to Provence and that was a good choice of distances. The hotel is situated east of the town in a new development of stores like Decathlon, with a cinema and ice rink nearby. It is easily reached off the Route National but a fair way from the autoroute foing south. We have used... More

My wife and I, like some other reviewers, stayed overnight on our journey from Calais to further south in France. It was a little difficult to find, the signs are very small. It is by a cemetery on an out of town shopping area. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming, the room small, but clean. There were restaurants to walk... More

The B&B Hotel is not a place where you might want to spend a week's holiday, but for an overnight stop for travellers going between the ferry ports in the north and the south of France and beyond, it's just what's needed. The rooms are small and plain with few decorative touches so that they have the air of monastery... More
