Only thing going for this hotel is that it's near the centre of town and there is a very nice park nearby for walking the dog. The receptionist had difficulty finding our booking and to be quite honest we wish she hadn't! Much better hotel next door 'Le Renard ' which was modern and stylish ,with a super restaurant, though... More

After staying in excellent Chambres d'hotes on the same trip, this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was drab, basic and lacked character and the service poor. Although we had private parking in the hotel ( 10 euros per night) in order to access the car we had to walk outside in the pouring rain, instead of accessing it from... More

Very friendly staff. Room clean but uninspiring. Breakfast is supposed to be a feature of the hotel but was mediocre by anyones standards. Having breakfast in back room on ground floor did not help" The town was disappointing

Quaint family run hotel. Olde worlde hotel which matches all the other buildings in the town. Slightly dated interior but scrupulously clean, small bedroom but fine for one night, lovely white bedding and comfortable bed. Ensuite spotlessly clean. There is a lovely bar within the hotel so you can sit outside and watch the world walk by with a glass... More

A lovely hotel, but bed and breakfast really. We had a lovely clean room, with a view to the square below. This is not a tourist area, and the only person that spoke good english was the receptionist . We only stayed a couple of nights, as we were at a family wedding . Yet again, a hotel with a... More

This is our fourth visit and it did not disappoint. Excellent central location with cheap parking right in front of the hotel. Small but perfectly adequate rooms and clean modern bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Be aware that if you stay on a Monday night there are very few restaurants open. We went to the Chaudron Savoyard just around the... More

I feel a little mean for not rating this hotel higher. There's really nothing wrong with it. It has a nice, old-fashioned exterior which I like. It's in a pleasant square in the centre of the old town. It has a lift which is great (& several hotels that I've rated higher don't even have lifts). It is immaculately clean.... More

This is a small hotel with friendly English speaking staff on the main square. Our room was fine although neither it nor the bathroom were large. We were only staying for one night so it was not a problem. A longer stay could have been a different issue. There was a music festival the evening we stayed but despite the... More

Travelling through the north of France, we tried 10 hotels who were rather smugly "complet". Le pot d'etain had a lovely clean large room, with fabulous white cotton bedding, and a huge bathroom. At 9 o clock at night, it felt like heaven. Plus a reccomendation for an excellent restaurant just across the square. Lovely find.

We stayed at this hotel when driving from Calais to Strasbourg. It's roughly half way. The staff were very friendly, the bed comfortable, and the facilities more than adequate (unless you wanted a stand-up shower which wasn't available in our room, which had a good-sized bathroom but no shower curtain). Wifi was fast and didn't drop out! If we were... More
