Our stay with Madeleine and Oliver was the best part of a wonderful trip to France! After enjoying 4 nights in Paris it felt great to take the TGV to Vendome, rent a car and revel in the French countryside. The photos of this charming Inn hint at the incredible garden Madeleine has created but the reality is even better.... More

We stayed at the Moulin for four nights during a 9-day spring break trip to visit Paris and the Loire Valley. Our choice was based on photos of the property and its proximity to Vendome, which seemed like a very attractive small town. Email correspondence with owner Madeleine hinted at her charm and sense of humor. As soon as we... More

We stayed at the mill with our two children in late May for three nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. Oliver and Madeleine were gracious and relaxed hosts who made us feel very welcome - like a part of the family. The main house is an 11th century mill, with thick stone walls and a mill stream that... More

We are wanting to go back again, having spent two nights at this wonderful place. Care and attention has been lavished by the owners Madelaine and Olivier to ensure a place of tranquility and beauty. We only wish that the weather had been better to be able to enjoy the garden more. Homemade croissants and friendly advice made the moulin... More

This was the second time we stayed at this lovely house with Madeleine and Oliver. Garden and house show a great taste throughout, the rooms are absolutely wonderful and matching this old house in style, although the bathrooms are quite modern and fully equiped. The location for breakfast in the middle of an open, two storey high library is breathtaking.... More

Our beautiful room had a stream running outside the window and a door from the bathroom to a wooden bridge over the stream. The chicken 'Jessica' roosts on the window sill outside and leaves an egg every afternoon. The extensive garden has a lake stocked with trout and carp. The owner, Oliver, is a retired professor of Roman history and... More

We must confess, we love the place and have been there with our kids and various friends 6 times already: we like the owners: she's charming and as French as one can be; he's the ultimate cultivated former French law professor, slightly pedantic but heartidly passionated in his convictions and extremely interesting when you start discussing art, history and opera...
