We needed a hotel at Macon for an overnight stay on our way south and chose the Mercure, as it seemed quietly situated. I understand that all bedrooms have been renovated since the Accor group took over the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, with a large and extremely comfortable bed and was on the second floor with a view... More

There was a nasty bug-fulled cobweb. The window frame was filled with dirt and bugs. I don't think the headboard had been dusted in months. Very small room. Good AC. I read the other reviews and was surprised how good their experience; we were on a Cosmos tour, maybe they keep those rooms at a lower standard.

We stayed here as a stop over for one night on our way back from a cycle trip down south. The staff were very helpful and securely stored our bikes in a locked room. Our room was well decorated and clean. The supper menu was simple but the food was delicious. The breakfast selection was good.

At the end of a tour of France, it was a delight to finish up at this hotel. The setting was beautiful, (on the water), and the rooms were beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and provided absolutely everything that could be required. Breakfast was good.

Our room on the third floor, with enhanced facilities, appeared to have been recently refurbished and was beautiful, probably the best Mercure we have stayed in. Room had a safe, free mini bar (soft drinks), bath robes, comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and adjustable stork reading lamps. The beautifully decorated curtains covered a wall of windows that slid open onto... More

The hotel is ideally located for an overnight stopover on our way from home (in Belgium) towards the alpine skying areas. Being a Radisson hotel recently taken over by the Mercure group, it is in the process of being renovated. While the fourth floor is already renovated and the third is closed for renovation activities, the first two floors are... More
