My wife, two sons (6+9yrs) and I stopped with Steve and Linda the owners, on our way down to the Alps for the first time on 14th Feb '14. They're really lovely people who made us all feel very comfortable and welcome, the TV and log burner both on, tea flowing and shortbreads-a-plenty, food was great. Would thoroughly recommend this... A nice clean room, friendly relaxed atmosphere, wonderful dinner recommendations. They even took time out of a busy day to discuss places we could tour wineries and provided history of the area. We'd highly recommend Linda and Steve to anyone.

Linda and Steve were so personable and welcoming during my stay. I can honestly say Linda's pork wrapped in Palma ham was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. All in all, a fantastic place with great hosts.

We stayed for three nights over this weekend and it was just lovely, I'd read the reviews on here so was expecting good things but was blown away by the rooms, food and hospitality. We had an amazing dinner cooked by Linda on the Saturday night, and everyone eats together so there's a real family feel. The rooms were gorgeous,... More

This was our 3rd one night stay en route back to the UK after visiting the South of France. Linda and Steve's comfortable B&B is very welcoming after a long drive. They are excellent hosts and Linda's cooking is wonderful. We have always stayed in the Olive room which has everything you need - the bed is super comfy with... More

We stayed for one night in the Lavender room which was clean and cosy. Steve and Linda makes you feel really welcome and although she just came back from England and drove for more than 6 hours, Linda cooked us a great diner. Further it's a great location when you are visiting Cluny. We will certainly come back when we... More

An exceptional B&B run by a charming couple, Steve and Linda, who were helpful and kind, almost loving! On arrival, Linda cooked an early dinner for our children, who then went to bed whilst we had our delicious dinner in the courtyard- very relaxing. Lovely breakfast, room and bathroom clean and unfussy. We plan to return.

We stayed a second time at les Portails Bleus yesterday and it was faultless. The English owners are ever helpful and friendly. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home and relaxed, with a glass of vin rouge. Our room was spotless and spacious, with 2 lovely views over vineyards. We had pre-booked an evening meal... We stayed in France for 3 weeks... and this by far was our favorite B&B. Linda and Steve were amazing, made us feel at home. The room was clean, spacious, and all the other home amenities such as a Wii or books or fridge made us feel at home. Linda made a fabulous dinner one night, gave us advice on... More

We stayed here to provide us with an overnight stop over to start our three week driving/camping trip to France in August 2013, starting in the Ardeche. We wanted to stop short of Lyon on our trip from the Uk via the Dover --> Calais Ferry, so we tried to find a suitable location that didn't involve us being unduly... More
