Continuing our road trip south we stopped off in chalon sur saone. The sat nav picked up the campanile quickly and brought us to the door. Check in was quick although it took us a few minutes to locate the room due to the odd layout. We'd asked for a quiet room and were put right at the back, lovely... More

Good sized room, breakfast was basic but good, took a bit to find my room as there are different blocks , similar to a USA style motel.only down side was a very busy carpal with a number of coaches taking up a large number of spaces. I will no doubt stay again in the future,

Room clean and tidy, good size. Bed very comfy. Tea and Coffee facilities in the room. Onsite restaurant provides evening meals, although we didn't eat there, pricing looked competitive. Breakfast disappointing - bare minimum for a continental breakfast certainly not value for money.

Parking, breakfast with many options, large shower, comfy large bed, roomy closet... this place has it all for a reasonable price. There is also a double door entry to ensure all outside noise is kept outside. We had never stayed at a Campanile before, but we will again. We couldn't easily walk to the Saone, but the location was easy... More

We stayed here as a stop over on the way to the South of France. Overall the room was small but clean and the bed was comfortable a little what you would expect from a budget hotel and OK as a stopover. Basic selection for breakfast but this was of good quality and plenty of it.

The room was small but clean and the bed was comfy. We stayed both going and returning from Spain for one night. Had an excellent meal on our return journey of a freshly prepared hamburger with goat cheese sun-dried tomato and salad. The carafe of red wine was also very good. The staff were helpful and pleasant and apologised for... More

My wife and I unexpectedly had to stop in Chalon sur Saone. We made a mistake of not searching around and checking reviews, having stayed at decent Camponiles in the past we expected a budget hotel for a budget price. The receptionist didn't make us feel welcome at all (we witnessed the same for other guests checking in later). The... More

Room was very small so we felt squashed in, very basic facilities. Handy location and large car park though. Restaurant expensive and hardly anything for veggies. Breakfast quite expensive for what we got too. It was a ski stopover on our way to the Alps but will try somewhere else next time.

Boy was I surprised when we arrived. With its balconied double-stories and doors huddled around the parking lot, it looked like a Motel 6 in the middle of France. Not to mention that across the busy, major highway/street is an American BBQ joint. This plae was extremely quiet, had internet access, and served decent breakfast. It is not that close... More
