This is not a high-end hotel, but what it does, it does extremely well. It was a fabulous choice for a stopover en route back from the mountains. A sizeable room, funky decor, interesting coffee table photography books, lovely towels, great bathroom, very friendly service. Even though it's by the station, it's very peaceful inside. An excellent spot.

We (2 families of 4) had a lovely one-night stay at the hotel en route to our skiing holiday near Chambery. Family rooms and en-suite were nicely decorated and a good size. The only drawback to our stay was that the fold-out double beds (which the children were to sleep on) were really uncomfortable - we did notify reception of... More

I have stayed here 3 times in the past. Once without child and recently two times with an infant. We use this location as a stopover on our travels to the southwest of France and in general you find lots of people seeming to do the same. It is right near the main motorway connecting the north to the south.... More

We took the train from Lyon. there is a shuttle type train (Rhone Express) in the airport which takes you to the Lyon Train station (Sncf.) That took us to Chalon Sur Saone. Lots of stairs in station. This dropped us off in Chalon and the hotel was so close you could walk to it from the Train Station. Hotel... More

Very close to train station and a great lay over before get on a Viking Cruise. Clean and very modern. We just had a standard room which nice in size. A great breakfast is served in morning with a large variety. We would enjoy staying again. Rates for rooms I thought we very good.

Fine hotel, spacious rooms and excellent staff. Nice restaurant on main floor. Unlike others, we had no issue with Wifi. Price made it good value. Only downside is that it is a bit of a hike to center of town, maybe 1 km. right by the train station.

If you stay here do not plan on doing any business on the internet you have to get a new code every five minutes to stay connected. Great location right next to the train station and a nice hotel but the internet is from 1990! Everything is in walking distant from the hotel. Plenty of shops but be sure you... More

Dear Terri ! We are always very interested to read a comment on the website TRIPADVISOR. However, we are really surprised to read your negative comment about the Wi-Fi !!! We have recently strengthened our Wifi flow and all our guests are extremely satisfied. Of the 200 guest's comments, no one ever talked about this problem. All is not negative,... More

We Stayed here for 2 nights before a river cruise. The staff were helpful and welcoming. The room was bright, spotless, comfortable and large for Europe. The bathroom was huge with plush towels and 2 sinks. The bed was extremely comfortable. Was grateful for free wifi that worked all the time. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. I liked the... We were on our way back from Italy and stopped here. We had a very clean, spacious bedroom of the three of us. The decor was very funky and the bathroom huge. The bedroom was so quiet at night, which was surprising as we were right next to the railway. The staff were very helpful. There is a car park... More

One night of an excellent facility stay. Excellent service with many English speaking staff. Off street parking a key consideration. Less than a half block from train station. A short distance to cruises from Chalon. With pack only it is about a 1.5 km walk. With luggage taxi is best. Full buffet breakfast for 14€
