Spent a week in Chalon-Sur-Saone on business. The hotel was selected by the comany I visited. It was a good choice. Had a suite on the second floor, facing the main square in front of the railway station. I sounds bad but it wasn't. The room was quiet, spacious, well maintained and clean. The hotel itself is in an old... More

We stopped en route on our way back from Italy. The hotel was easy to get to as its close to the station. We paid for a ' luxury family room' and found it was a fair size but we could hardly move with the sofa bed pulled out and the cot in place. The bathroom was a bit dated... More

The hotel was very comfortable and updated. We chose a "Chambre Tradition" so it was pretty compact with twin beds. I'd recommend considering a larger size, though this was adequate. The location is close to the train station so Taxi's are easily available and affordable. It is about a 15 minute walk to the historic part of town. The Spa... More

We decided to spend a couple of nights in Chalon sur Saone prior to our Viking cruise and this turned out to be a good decision. The hotel can be seen from the front door of the train station so there was no problem finding it. We got a very good welcome from the receptionist at the front desk and... More

Location is by the train station. Good news: we never heard a train. Bad news: air conditioning did not work, staff spoke very little English and you are 1/2 mile from shopping district/ full mile from Strasbourg St with all the best restaurants in Chalon-Sur-Saone. Price is substantially lower than other hotels. If traveling to Burgundy villages to taste wine,... More

Rode train from Paris day before our river cruise. Hotel was conveniently located on the square in front of the train station. Hotel was quite comfortable, quiet & staff very friendly. Best attribute was the town itself which feels more French than Paris but, makes it challenging as there is less English spoken here.

Spent one night here as we were picking up a rental car at the train station the following morning. Arrived here after an overseas flight and two train trips. We were greeted by a very friendly and professional young woman at the reception desk who upgraded our room from a "Tradition Room" to a "Superior Room" and provided information about... More

Spent one night in this hotel and could quite easily stay for much longer. Its clean, comfortable has good parking and friendly staff. Would highly recommend this place, the town has things to do and the hotel in my opinion is very good.

Stayed here on the way to South of France for our yearly holiday with my children. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was good, didn't sample dinner as there was a lovely brasserie in front of the hotel which has tables outside. Lovely room and bathroom and slept so well we had a late departure the following morning. Would stay... More

This is not a high-end hotel, but what it does, it does extremely well. It was a fabulous choice for a stopover en route back from the mountains. A sizeable room, funky decor, interesting coffee table photography books, lovely towels, great bathroom, very friendly service. Even though it's by the station, it's very peaceful inside. An excellent spot.
