I sincerely recommend this B&B. One of the best places I've stayed in so far. The house looks amazing and everything was great: the bed, the garden, really nice breakfast... Catherine is a great host and will make your stay pleasant.

When you can have nice accommodation like this in a privately owned villa why bother staying in an unwelcoming city hotel. After a little difficulty in locating it, Tom Tom not recognising the road number, our host Catherine came out to the road to see us safely in. The 2 rooms we had "Rose Pompedour and Magnolia were very large... More

During our trip to Brittany, we stayed in a range of places--from a big chain hotel to a Relais & Chateau property to small, privately owned "B&B"s, like Villa Catherine. Best value? The latter, for sure. Villa Catherine is a lovely old manor house, and as Vannes is not a huge city, it's close to the heart of town. The... More

We stayed at Villa Catherine for 3 nights and have no complaints. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner is very nice and only too willing to offer advice and assistance with regards to things to do/visit. The only slight draw back is the location, the town center is walkable but it is a fair distance probably about... More

We stayed in this place just one night, and we have nothing to complain about, even though we were not really impressed by it. The rooms were OK, the lady who owns the place was nice and kind, and we enjoyed the breakfast, with many Bretton specialties. On the other hand the location is not really nice (an anonymous neighborood... More

I agreed with you for your description of "anonymous neighborood outside" but Vannes's town hall do it best to improve this part of the town. May I suggest you to explain "full of furniture" ? What did you expect ? Can you help me to change this ? With my best regard Villa Catherine More

Lovely room and breakfast was nice. Location is an easy 10-minute or so walk to downtown Vannes, a gorgeous town with lots of good dinner options. Catherine gave us a map and walking instructions to downtown as soon as we checked in, and was happy to answer questions about the region throughout our stay. Great value for the price, and... More

Villa Catherine September 2010 We spent three nights at the Villa Catherine in Vannes, France. The positive points are that Catherine runs a B&B out of her home and keeps it perfectly clean. The room was spacious and the king sized bed was comfortable. It had a great shower and gated parking. Catherine cooks a delicious breakfast each morning of... More

We stayed at Villa Catherine for just one night on our way through Brittany. I booked it solely on the strength of the trip advisor reviews here and I was pleased with the choice, although I felt I couldn't quite give 5 stars. The house itself is a lovely old mansion house which has been refurbished tastefully and in keeping... More

We loved Villa Catherine during our stop over in Vannes! It was very easy to find and the house was beautiful! I really loved the decor of the house and wish I knew the shop where the owner bought it! The breakfast was really good and all of it was organic! The rooms were clean and smelled like roses! I... We made a quick pit-stop in Vannes for a night and stayed at Villa Catherine. The owner was very easy going and friendly, and the house is gorgeous. The room was lovely and clean, with lots of light. There is private secure parking and a pretty garden to look out over. But it was the breakfast of freshly made crepes... More
