This charming B&B is away from the bustle of downtown Vannes, but the center of the city is only 15 minutes away, and the motorways are less than 10. The hosts, Natalie and Phillipe are incredibly gracious and friendly. The rooms have very comfortable beds and roomy showers, two must for me. The associated restaurant is exceptional. We dined there... More

We wanted a quiet place to stay while we were touring in the Gulf of Morbihan area and chose this hotel because of the great reviews. The prices were very reasonable and the simple rooms are modern and comfortable with impeccable decorating. (There are only five rooms with two apartments.) The bed was very comfortable for my 6'5" husband. There... More

A small jewel of a hotel with perfectly designed rooms and facilities all of which are immaculate: also a great breakfast and loads of free parking. It is a perfect spot for exploring the Gulf of Morbihan. The owners are delightful and accomodating in every way.

We stayed over Monday night when the restaurant was closed, but Tuesday's breakfast was our best ever in France and absolutely first class. Very comfortable, light, airy and tastefully decorated bedoom with separate wet room and toilet facilities ensuite. Steep outside stairs to bedroom accommodation over restaurant which those of limited mobility might find difficult, hence 4 rather than 5... More

I have rarely returned anywhere as I /we like the adventure of new places, but after eight months sorting out a new house we needed a break with good food and didn't want to take a chance, so we returned to L'Hortensia. I wrote the very first review on this place and nothing has changed the rooms are immaculate and... More

I wish to tell to whole world about this treasure place.. Chef Philippe creativity is amazing and every dishes a piece of art.... Catamaran of strawberries was a blast :-) His lovely wife Nathalie is very friendly just here when you need and very discret at the same time the right attitude for a Maitre d'hotelt! We had the opportunity... More

Wanted a place slightly south of the normal tourist havens in the Gulf of Morbihan, this seemed to tick the boxes and so it proved with spades! converted from a farmhouse only four years ago everything is modern and comfortable, with walk in shower and seperate toilet, there are only five bedrooms here and its only some small rush hour (if you can...
