We have been visiting th hotel on many occasions, this year they had new suites connecting to the garden. A wonderfull terrace with a great view, unfortunately the weather was not so very good. We had again de best seafood platter in the evening, you have to order it in advance. Believe me, this is the best anywhere, and we... More

Oysters? For breakfast? Seriously. It says “check here” if you’d like oysters delivered to the room for breakfast. Ummmm…. I sat, propped up on immense pillows, listening to the rising tide, watching the fog envelop the distant Mont-Saint Michel. I might never leave. The staff take pride in this property. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, homey, and unique – not... More

This property is a spectacular place to stay with views of the Bays of Mont St. Michel and Cancale awe inspiring. The staff is attentive to all guests whether staying there or just coming for lunch or dinner. The rooms are each unique and the spices they are named for seem to fit each room's "personality". A great place to... More

Views were to die for, Bay of Cancale with its dramatic tide changes. Rooms and restaurant were lovely, lots of light, birds everywhere. Rooms were also nice. However, coming from another Relais Chateux property this seemed bit lacking (Longueville Manor in Jersey is truly five stars in all aspects). First off, service was ok, not great. When we arrived, no... More

My wife and I spent 18 days traveling around France and Switzerland, and we both agree that the biggest regret of our trip is that we only spent one night at Chateau Richeux. It is hard to put into words how amazing this hotel really is. First of all, the location is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is isolated right on... More

We spent 2 nights and twice had a dinner and just loved everything! Let's start with the location, exquisite, towering the Mount Saint Michel bay (you can admire on your far right, North East of Chäteau Richeux), a wonderful bay where light, clouds and sun keep playing with the sand and the sea giving the place a distinct identity almost... As American couple with some of the experience that comes with age we booked a night at the Chateau Richeux in connection with having dinner at Le Coquillage, the excellent restaurant associated with it. The Chateau was built between the Wars and has an Edwardian feel in the public rooms. There is much wood paneling and a library bar with... More

The era when france is the leading purveyor of luxury service is so passé. Look at all the luxury hotels in paris: four season george v, mandarin oriental, shang ri la, peninsula, plaza athenee, le meurice, none of them is french owned. Now, Chateaux Richeux is classified as 5 stars and the french raaaave about this place. This leads to... More

We stayed in three Chateaux & Relais properties during our visit to France in November. We would rank this one lowest of the three. Having said that, it is still a beautiful hotel. The service was not great. Certainly not above standard in a regular hotel, and in some respects not even that. We almost drove past the entrance to... More

Stayed in the Chateau for the first time on Monday. Have eaten there before in warmer times. There was a certain beauty in the views from our windows in Gingembre overlooking the famous baie de Mont St Michel. Whilst the Mont itself loomed eerily through the mist. The staff in the hotel/ restaurant are superb and very friendly. The room... More
