Definitely a good deal - allocated spacious family apartment for just 2 of us, with outside decking with 4 chairs and table.Plenty of room to padlock our ancient bikes and park securely. Good location on fringe of town. There is a delicious bakery if you turn left on exiting hotel on the opposite corner and a huge Super U market... More

Cancale, with its lively seafood restaurants makes a great stopover before the St Malo/Portsmouth ferry crossing but the Nuit et Jour motel-style hotel would make a good base for exploring this lovely coast. There's ample on-site parking. Rooms range from fairly basic to some including a kitchenette but all have what's needed for a comfortable stay (apart from hairdryers). Breakfast... More

We normally book at least 4 star places, so I was a little apprehensive - but I didn't need to be. We stayed in a garden facing room, rather than a self catering cottage. The room was modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, and large enough for us to be comfortable for 4 nights. The cottages looked lovely, and had... More

We have just come back from a really relaxing 3 days at Nuit et Jour. The staff were so friendly and helpful The lady at reception even lent us her own kettle for 3 nights! The continental breakfast was superb, as much as you want of everything from cerals to cheese washed down with ad lib coffee, chocolate, orange and... More

A very convenient stopover before catching the ferry from St Malo - 15 - 20 minutes' drive. Bedroom was comfortable, and clean with good bathroom facilities but decor was rather drab and therefore a little uninviting - and in warm weather it was hard to cool the room down. Staff were very helpful and efficient and breakfast was of good... More

Stayed there for a few days. To me it's more like a motel, since there are few cottages scattered and parking slots next to them. So you can park you car next to your cottage. Parking is free of charge. Hotel is located near busy road to Cancale, 15 min walk by foot from seafront, through very scenic village. Heavy... More

I was somewhat apprehensive, given the lack of recent English language reviews and the slightly confusing website, but fear not! This is a great little hotel. Family run, apparently owned by the same family for 20 years, no problem with communication in English and extremely honest, friendly and helpful staff. I suppose this is what you would call "family oriented"... More

we stayed here in August for one evening on the way to the ferry at St Malo, only 15 mins away. It was our third stay and certainly won't be our last. The welcome was really good and after a long hot journey we sat outside and were served ice cold beer from the little bar. The gardens are beautiful... More

We have just returned from four nights at this hotel. Although the room was a bit small, the bed was very big and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The garden was beautiful with lots of trees and shrubs and we even went in the pool one afternoon even though the weather was a bit cool. The pool has a cover... More

Our second stay in this hotel. Not exactly a top location in the area, but still great value for money. The bungalow style rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. You're not in the city center, but close enough to walk there, or just 5 minutes by car if that's what you prefer to do.
