Cantal Cottage is a refreshing alternative to the big chains of budget hotels, like Formule 1, Kyriad, etc ... It is still a budget conscious and rather basic place to stay, but it does what is does very well. It is located very close to the motorway exit and ony 1-2km's from a smal town. The concept is based on... More

17th May 2014 - We stayed for a night having booked a while ago. The receptionist was very helpful and looked up local information on the internet for us as well as the good stock of tourist leaflets. The chalet had its own parking spot outside. The accommodation was bright, clean, comfortable had a shower and WC. It was basic... More

Imagine a small brand new motel, no far from the A75 motorway, very quiet... This is the place I needed and was looking for in order to cut my travel time from Versailles up to south of France or Spain. The price is quite low : we payed 49 euros for a double bed room (with free wifi, TV...) and... More

Good Wifi access. very friendly receptionist. good access for those with mobility problems. Dog friendly and the car is right outside your chalet. It was snowing when we were there, Luckily my wife loves snow... More

We stayed there in October 2012 and it was really excellent. The location is close to the main village. The rooms are really well appointed and the motel-style accommodation is just what you want for travelling. The Sports Club across the road provides food, drinks, and entertainment. All this at a reasonable price - what more could you ask?

Well placed with good bedroom and shower facilities and excellant heating and wifi plus a welcome for the dog after a long journey. The ladies on duty at the desk are helpful and gave good advice about eating. Fully recommend this place and supper at the esso garage down the road. Thanks Cantal Cottage.

A very simple motel, but well thought out, clean, comfortable, quiet and with a very good breakfast. This is the perfect place to spend the night when driving through the Central Massif. Excellent value for money - no wonder it was full when we stayed there. There is however nothing to do in Saint Flour on a Monday afternoon and... More

I spotted this hotel ( more a motel really) having stopped in St Flour on a previous trip, and decided to give it a try next time passing. How glad I did. For just under 1/2 the cost of my previous stay I got a clean modern room with a very spacious shower cubicle providing a good standard of hot... More

A perfect motel-type property located just off the motorway. Ideal as a stopover on the way to the south of France. Reception and breakfast staff were delightful and very helpful. The room was a reasonable size with the bonus of being able to park right outside the door. Reasonably spacious and absolutely spotless. Air con worked well. For the price... More
