We stayed as a result of the great reviews on trip adviser. Although not far from the motorway, we really felt like we were in the middle of the French countryside. We stayed in the beautifully converted barn (the family room from previous posts) which had doors opening onto a large pond (surrounded by fencing so perfectly safe for our... More

Close to AutoRoute, lovely grounds, pool (needed after several hours in a traffic jam) which was a bit green but v refreshing, quiet. Huge (was part of a barn) family room with kitchenette inc. fridge. Easy and safe parking. Really good fairly rustic local restaurant within a short walk. Open air breakfast on site. Great croissants, few too many wasps... More

Having had difficulty in getting e-mail confirmation for our booking due to Paul's problems with internet providers, I booked with Booking.com. When we arrived a young man was in the Reception office who seemed to be “away with the fairies” as our daughter described him, but perhaps that was because he was not expecting us. Paul returned with great speed... More

Driving to the Gites de Bord, you immediately understand that this is no run-of-the-mill corporate location. It's in the middle of the French countryside and consists of a set of old buildings that have been converted into rooms. The rooms themselves are quite nice and clean, certainly more than enough for anyone who is spending one or two nights to... More

We had a large, 2 x double bedroom accommodation, with a kitchenette and outside seating. The grounds are spacious, tranquil, there is a nice swimming pool and an indoor/outdoor dinner and breakfast room. We only had breakfast but it's a lovely spot. The one downside is that in summer the place has a lot of flies.

Before I begin I need to say, we did not stay, have not paid and the owner has agreed to not charge. However, I feel I should point out that despite "Wifi gratuit throughout" this is not the case. I would have happily adapted the room to be more comfortable (5 beds for a couple is not okay) if there... More

We only had a night here and would like to return so we can explore the area. There is so much to see and experience! Our host was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the local and regional history. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, with everything we needed, plus it was good value for money.

splendid place dipped in the green, to the feet of a medieval castle. Ideal for stays of complete relax. Roomy apartment, equipped of all comforts. True french breakfast : baguette, croissant and jam. Familiar atmosphere and very kind heads of household. Service wi-fi.

A large, lovely and with care decorated room in what they called The Barn. Good bed and pillows. Everything nice and clean.Nice big bathroom with a very good shower although the heath of the water changed every now and then. Breakfast was french, for a dutch person a bit simple but ok that's the culture I expect. Missed some fresh... More

The room had obviously been unused for some time - it smelled musty when we arrived. The bed was too short and somewhat uncomfortable. Wifi was advertised but was only available if you stood outside the reception/office. The swimming pool was unusable as the filter appeared to be broken. The breakfast was nice, but not terribly suitable for small children... More

Management response:

WIFI is now available all over the property and the pool's water, warm, crystal clear and enjoyed by customers. We are surprised that these customers claim they had to stand outside the reception office as they went online comfortably seated on our terrasse with complimentary coffee and juice. A discount was given to them anyway as, further to technical problems,... More
