Extremely easy to access from the A75 motorway and therefore very convenient for an overnight stop. Very reasonably priced – 89 Euros for a double room in August – but a little shabby here and there. More importantly on our visit the air-conditioning wasn’t working in our room. The initial response from reception suggested that the problem wasn’t confined to... More

Logis de France is synonim of quiet places, good food and relaxing atmosphere. And Le Poirou gives you all of these. Nice & spacious room, comfortable bed. Relaxing pool and surroundings. Huge car park and delicious breakfast. HIghly recommendable in the centre of France.

This Hotel is in the town, next to the industrial/commercial areas that you pass through. Arrived on Sunday 10 Aug, but restaurant is CLOSED from Saturday midday and re-opens Tuesday (which we were not aware of until arrival, and with 48 hour cancellation policy this created problem - complaint will be sent to the Logis group)- after a long drive... We went with a Shearings coach tour to the Auvergne. The coach was clean and legroom as expected. However the seats seem to be moulded to hold you in one position - both back rest and seat, resulting in discomfort after a few hours. Comfort stops were well spaced. Use of the onboard toilet was on both the feeder and... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night - unplanned, as arrival of our plane into Clermond-Ferrand airport was seriously delayed. But we were lucky enough to secure a room. It was too late for dinner (10pm), as you may expect in countryside France. But the draft beer tasted well. Breakfast - also to be expected in France -... More

The front of the hotel looks a bit shabby but once inside and around the corner in the annex, it is far better than the first impression; We were very satisfied about our one night stay on the route to Spain; after a whole day in the car , a jump in the swimming pool was very refreshing. We had... More

Very good value but a little eccentric. From the street the hotel looks like a tatty 60s built block - which it may have been. My first impression was disappointment. Going in the place looks a bit better but stuck in the 80s rather than the 60s. Staff very friendly and attentive and this was very reassuring so we started... More

Every other year we travel to Northern Spain for a holiday. We often take the central route through France. We live in Yorkshire so the journey requires two overnight stops. The first in Northern France say somewhere in the Somme and the second about three hundred miles on which takes you south of Clermont. We discovered this hotel in Issoire... More

Standing in front of the hotel it looks average and bland, but once in and round the corner it is far nicer than seen from the street. We were very satisfied of the two nights we spent here. Large and nice room, very quiet (in the annexe), small but really nice swimming pool, good restaurant with good prices and some... More
