We had been travelling for nine hours a and were glad to arrive at an 'old favourite'. The reception staff are friendly and usually can speak English if you cannot speak French. We have stayed here on and off for about five years when we travel to the very south. I was pleased to see they had laid a new... More

We stayed in Le Pariou as part of an organised trip with Travel Editions who could not have made a better choice of hotel or town. On our arrival we were met by the owner who allocated our rooms as there was a main building and 2 annexes. We were very happy to find ourselves in the larger annexe which... More

This very comfortable hotel situated some thirty miles to the south of Clermont Ferrand in the Auvergne of France is perfect for touring in this lovely region. The extinct volcanoes, especially the Puy de Dome, are a scenic feature of the area. Towns like Issoire and Clermont Ferrand and small picturesque villages with their Romanesque churches like St Nectaire and... More

Came as part of a coach holiday to The Auvergne. On arrival, we were met in the street by the Manager who guided the coach into the car park and gave a welcome address to the party whilst still on the coach. We were accommodated in the annex where the rooms were of a good size and very comfortable...I don't... More

Extremely easy to access from the A75 motorway and therefore very convenient for an overnight stop. Very reasonably priced – 89 Euros for a double room in August – but a little shabby here and there. More importantly on our visit the air-conditioning wasn’t working in our room. The initial response from reception suggested that the problem wasn’t confined to... More

Logis de France is synonim of quiet places, good food and relaxing atmosphere. And Le Poirou gives you all of these. Nice & spacious room, comfortable bed. Relaxing pool and surroundings. Huge car park and delicious breakfast. HIghly recommendable in the centre of France.

This Hotel is in the town, next to the industrial/commercial areas that you pass through. Arrived on Sunday 10 Aug, but restaurant is CLOSED from Saturday midday and re-opens Tuesday (which we were not aware of until arrival, and with 48 hour cancellation policy this created problem - complaint will be sent to the Logis group)- after a long drive... We went with a Shearings coach tour to the Auvergne. The coach was clean and legroom as expected. However the seats seem to be moulded to hold you in one position - both back rest and seat, resulting in discomfort after a few hours. Comfort stops were well spaced. Use of the onboard toilet was on both the feeder and... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night - unplanned, as arrival of our plane into Clermond-Ferrand airport was seriously delayed. But we were lucky enough to secure a room. It was too late for dinner (10pm), as you may expect in countryside France. But the draft beer tasted well. Breakfast - also to be expected in France -... More
