Booked for an over night stay in the camper van on the way back home and even though we were only there for the night we all loved it. Being only a few miles from the motorway made it an ideal stopover spot but the site was really quiet and peaceful. As it was late in August it wasn't busy... More

We chose this site to stop at on our way down to Spain, owing to its location not far from the motorway. We were not disappointed! It is a very well kept campsite, large shady plots with immaculate facilities. The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly. We loved the quirky feel, we felt like we were on a film... More

This site is perfect if you want a top quality site that is situated on the route down to the south west of France. It has a top quality feel set in the grounds of an Old castel/fort. The staff could not be more helpful and the pitches all have character. We camped here for one night down to the... More

We rented a bungalow on this campsite for two nights and really wished we had stayed longer. The campsite is based around a beautiful old chateau set in pretty grounds. The whole place just had so much atmosphere to it and although it was high season did not feel overcrowded. If you want peace and quiet with a lovely ambience... More

First and foremost this is a campsite, with campsite facilities. The accommodation in the Chateau is ok, a mixture of old and new with a fairly confused theme, a nice room let down by poor toilet facilities [cupboard with no latch]. The campsite is right next to you, and shower blocks 3 paces from the snack bar tables. Oh and don't... More

Interesting mix of hotel guests and campers - sometimes sharing things a bit too closely (ie resturant facility for evening meals was just the bar bistro for pizzas and burgers). But inside the castle its great, wonderful comfortable room, fantastic decor where its been done up, but entire site is a work in progress venue given the massive scale of... More

We were not aware until we arrived that the chateau was in the middle of a VERY busy campsite. Parking was on a first come first served basis and although we did not mind walking from where we eventually found a space, we did feel that for the price there should have been spaces reserved for the hotel guests. The... More
