This place is perhaps not very modern, a bit dated really, and the restaurant lacks natural light, but the food is very good and the lunch menu excellent value - usually about 13 euros for the set lunch (four courses). It is very popular with all the locals, the food is fresh and the steak and chips are great. It... More

I'm not usually moved to write reviews but felt I had to counter the previous review by Elroy. His review nearly put us off from staying here but as all others were full it was our final option. The hotel is fine! And in no way a flop house. The brasserie is popular with the locals and the food was... More

We popped into this hotel to enquire on availability of a room for one night. We were shown a room which was up a set of stairs, another set of stairs, another set of stairs......etc The room was awful with old dated furniture and Lino on the floor. I am sorry to say but it looked like a "flop house"'... More

I had been there last year and thought I'd go again. Oloron doesnt have many places to chose from on a Monday evening.. Once again, I haven't been disappointed! Menu 18euros. Garbure to start with, goat cheese salad for entree, faux-filet as main (huge and delicious!! Gutted I was too full to finish it...) and nice local cheese to end... More

Had lunch here during our stay in the area. After a somewhat reserved start, the staff turned out to be very friendly. The restaurant is fairly unprepossessing to look at. Fairly standard French bistro type cuisine served at a very fair price.

Always busy with locals this brassiere style restaurant of this hotel is efficiently run by various, friendly members of the owners family ( and one or two others). The 4 course 13 euros menu represents the most incredible value for money- homemade Garbure Soup, followed by salad/omelette/pate, then choice of dish of the day/steak/lomo (spanish spiced pork) served with potatoes,... Have recently stayed at this hotel en route to southern Spain and on return journey to UK. The room may not have been the most modern but was clean and comfortable. Had evening meal on both occassions, very good value for money and excellent food. The staff are very efficient and friendly and made our stop overs worthwhile. Would certainly... More

Stayed one night on recent drive through Pyrenees. Recommended by tourist office nearby. Arriving at 6pm in the evening, we didn't want to spend a lot of time looking for accommodation so ended up in the Bristol. Basically, the double bedroom on the top floor was tacky. With aged dark pine interior walls and a gloomy view of roofs and... More
