By mid October, Lacanau is quite deserted. It was good to find the L'Oyat open and functioning though with only a handful of guests. The staff were polite and very helpful. If I see another Zen bedroom/bathroom I'll scream....and don't think that's the point. Had a 'de luxe' bedroom with sea view. Ok this place is fine, the room is ok and the bathroom is good. The restaurant and the staff there were fabulous, but the older lady and young man at reception were most disengaged in their guests and really quite useless, don't bother asking them for any advice. Otherwise good location and good value for money.

I'm really surprised by the comments from others, we were in two of the redecorated rooms and they were great. Everywhere was spotless, clean towels everyday and bed linen changed every other day.
