A very good Campanile experience, a friendly welcome, a clean quiet twin bedded room - we were given the option of first or ground floor - good air con and free wifi. The restaurant was well laid out, the food excellent and the staff helpful. As an overnight stop whilst travelling it fitted the bill perfectly, add to that a... More

Very friendly staff, one of the better campaniles!!! Over the past 10 years we have stayed in many campaniles, but this particular Campanile was the most friendly we encountered. Good service and very welcoming even though our stay was fully complementary.

Having stayed in these chains elsewhere we knew what to expect. Food and drink available and the rooms have tea/coffee facilities and TV. Bathroom adequate and clean. Good for our break in long train journey from Leon (Spain) to London. Perfect for a quick overnight stop.

I booked this not expecting much because of previous reviews but I was really happy to stay here, It is like a motel. You get a room that is clean and has coffee, tea etc, ensuite bathroom. I enjoyed my stay here.

The Campanile at Hendaye is convenient and typical of a.Campanile. However the food is very good and the staff really excellent, making it a great place to stop. It is very convenient for the motorway to Spain but still in a quiet charming town

Reception block was ok, also the people from the reception and in the dining room were friendly. The bedroom was something else. The sheets and pillows were very old and muff. Over aged bathroom with poor light. During the night the electricity felt out in our room and couldn’t be arranged before other clients left the room where the failing... More

We stayed at this hotel for one night on the way to Spain. It's about 20 minutes' walk from the railway station, so if you have luggage you might want to consider taking a taxi. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The air- conditioning in the room was excellent, which was very welcome on one of the hottest days... More

This is fairly standard travel accommodation. The room was comfortable enough but nothing special. The air-con was a bit noisy but we were able to sleep with no troubles. It is too far from the station to walk without luggage so we caught a cab and from memory that was €8. The staff were friendly and spoke English.

Stayed in the Saint-Paul-les-Dax Campanile one night, and this one in Hendaye the next night - although the hotels are very similar, this one seemed a bit more modern. Rooms are small and basic, but functional - just don't expect any fancy extras (or room to swing a cat!). The reataurants are the best part of this chain of hotels,... More
