Stayed 5 nights in this hotel. Was on the second floor facing the town. Lovely room with a new view and no noise. Did not have tea or coffee making facilities though. but there was a little tea/coffee set up in the pool ,spa, sauna area ( which was great) so I just darted down the stairs and helped myself. Breakfasts... More

The Plaza claims to be the oldest hotel in Sarlat, and it may be, but the modern refurbishment makes in extremely comfortable as well. Its difficult to find anything to criticise - the staff are helpful and welcoming, from the receptionists, the barman to the breakfast attendant. The rooms are comfortable and stylish - the beds are excellent to sleep... More

This hotel was very good, the rooms were comfortable and the town was lovely. Breakfast was very expensive and although we don't usually go out, in this case we walked down the main street and found a friendly little bar who made us good coffee to go with the pastry we bought in the baker just opposite, at a fraction... We were thrilled at the position of the Plaza Madeleine. Just a walk across the small park and we were in the old city. The hotel was lovely. The rooms quite spacious and we had to move from one room to the other during our stay but both rooms were wonderful. Breakfast rate was too expensive and we just walked... More

We found this hotel very nice and convenient specially when you arrive as you don't have to deal with complicated driving like in many other old cities. It's right at the entrance of Sarlat on the main road, but it's a quiet area, you just cross the road and you'll find the main commercial - pedestrian street. The hotel's car... More

We stayed at the Plaza Madeleine as part of an Alumni Group Tour in early October, 2013. The hospitality, quiet, clean, lovely room with gracious windows that opened towards the square below, if you get rooms towards the front. Rear facing rooms look at the pool and patio, ancient rooftops from adjoining buildings. Sarlat is an amazing, preserved town, with... More

We stayed 3 nights in a very nicely decorated room. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and spacious. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We did not park in the hotel's lot as we were out of town most of the time. Parking is free after 6 or 7pm and before 9am. The location is... More

I was last there in 2004 so I knew this was a prime tour group destination. But it's well located and the upgrades are very attractive. Room 303 faces the rear of the building, is very quiet, has an operable window (but only one), and overlooks the hotel pool below and a shaded elementary school play yard across. Never ate... More

We were a group of 28 and stayed at the hotel for a week. The rooms have indeed been upgraded and modernized and even though small were quite adequate. The location of the hotel and quiet in the room is a real plus. The storage for soap and shampoos could be easily remedied in the shower by simply installing a... More
