My wife and I stayed here two nights from May 11th -13th 2014. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend La Lanterne to anyone and everyone. The location was great, staff was incredibly helpful and wonderful to talk to, and there are many sights to see within a short drive if so desired. Richard was especially helpful in planning... More

My wife and I stayed in La Lanterne for 3 nights in July. From the moment we arrived, Richard made us feel incredibly welcome and at home. The B&B is perfectly situated to explore Sarlat and Richards suggestions for dining we're excellent. I would highly recommend having breakfast and hope to return for another stay soon!

Do yourself a favour and book at least four nights in order to immerse yourself in this medieval town of Sarlat and the surrounding Dordogne area. Hosts Terri, Debbie and Richard provide a wonderful service with Richard's breakfasts a work of art! The accommodation is adjacent to the centre of town where many wonderful restaurants can be found. Top stuff!... More

We stayed at La Lanterne for 4 nights (30.614-4.7.14). Our ovreall experience was very good. The location is excellent. The staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast was very good. One remark is the size of the room and the bathroom - relatively small for 2 people. But, nevertheless - we will definitely chose this hotel again and will come back if... More

We had originally planned on a 2 night stay, near the end of 3-4 weeks in France. We showed up a day early and Terri, Debbie, and Richard were able to accommodate us. We had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. The room was very comfortable. The location was perfect, basically right in the middle of the old town,... More

From the first greeting to the last, Terri and Debbie were the most accommodating of hosts. We stayed in the courtyard room for 4 nights and the one up and one down layout was extremely functional. Our hosts knowledge of the area, including restaurants, shops scenic sites were excellent and well received. The location of the B&B is within 50... More

We stayed 3 nights at La Lanterne. Everything, from the moment we arrived until our departure, was incredible. Terri, Richard and Debbie were such amazingly kind hosts. Terri emailed us very specific directions to arrive at her inn. These were much appreciated, based on our experience of getting lost at previous inns during our European trip. The moment we arrived,... More

A fine building on a quiet side street in the Old Town. Our top floor room (Le Grenier ) was comfortable and cool, despite the hot weather and so quiet at night. We had excellent breakfasts in the spacious living room and enjoyed a drink each evening in the attractive courtyard (1 euro! ) before going out for dinner. What... More
