This place is a wonderful find conveniently situated in a beautiful town. We stayed in the Montesquieu apartment. There were two good sized double bedrooms, a spacious and spotless bathroom and separate toilet. A comfy sofa bed in the living area and a small kitchenette (there is a microwave and hob for cooking but no main oven - but I... more

Well run, all rooms different - ours was on top floor with views over rooftops and city. Only drawback is finding it if you're driving into Sarlat. Added plus is a laundry room. more

We had the attic room which was very large with a nice sitting area. The manager was very helpful and the location was right in the middle of town. more

The owner is a lovely gentleman and the hotel is fantastic little gem! Due to having to rejuggle our travel schedules, we ended up taking the satellite house - which was much bigger than we needed but a great deal if you're traveling with kids. The satellite house is literally part of the ramparts of the old town so when... more

It's everything you could want in a hotel! We were on the third floor, in the "Fenelon" room, and can't say enough about it: modern open studio with lots of space--very quiet, big window that opens to birds and a breeze, lovely modern kitchenette and bathroom, big comfy bed, good TV reception (not always the case in the area), very... more

Perfect location for day trips to the Dordogne River Valley and surrounding areas! Stayed for 5 nights in this lovely little inn. We rented the "montesquiesu" apartment with two-queen size bedrooms with private covered-patio, small kitchenette and a little living room. Perfect for two couples even if only one bathroom. Would definitely stayed there again. Cudos to David who does... more

My finance and I stayed at La Villa des Consuls from September 16th for 4 nights - wished we could have stayed longer. Our accommodation, Du Bellay was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very modern, large and even had a heated towel rack. The location could not have been more perfect for getting around Sarlat - everything... more

Have just spent six night in room Mirabeau at La Villa Consuls. This is a well located hotel in the heart of Sarlat, handy to all the resturants and shops. The room was clean but only just adequately furnished. This consisted of a queen size bed, a small table and 3 chairs and a small 2 seater couch tucked behind... more

It seems unnecesary to add to all the accolades for this property, but excellence and value deserve recognition. Stayed here for a week with my extended family in June 2009 and our ajoining apartments (Boetie and Montaigne, I believe) were perfect. All of our waking hours were spent on the terrace overlooking the main street. Sarlat was the perfect base... more

just stayed two nights at La villa des consuls in Sarlat. We lived in Les Remparts which is a very cute little house round the corner from the main building. The house is so charming and had all the amenities you would need including a fully equipped kitchen, which we prepared tea and breakfast. One minor point was the musky... more
