We stayed here for 3 nights in July, and this might be one of our favourite places, ever. Located in the middle of Sarlat, an interesting medieval town, it was a perfect location from which to explore the community and surroundings. Our unit was clean, light and spacious, with a microwave and fridge. Everything seemed to be just where we... More

Not sure what to expect, but found this to be perfect for our short stay. We had apartment on the main street, which had large rooms with high ceilings. Two sets of doors to the street balcony meant the hustle and bustle from below did not keep you awake at night. In the morning you just can't stop looking out... More

We stayed here in June for 4 nights in the Montaigne apartment. We travel quite a bit, and I have to say that the combination of a beautiful apartment with a great terrace overlooking the nicest medieval town we have ever visited could not have been better. The managers english was perfect, which made for a great experience for my... More

I just returned from a 5 night stay at this excellent property. Location is perfect, the apartment was clean and spacious and very quiet. We had a large terrace to enjoy breakfast and late afternoon snacks with a glass of wine...the terrace is such a plus!! David was very kind and took the time to give us detailed directions daily... This hotel is charming and centrally located in Sarlat. We arrived with our two teenagers and immediately fell in love with our rooms and the hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We received some great tips on locating a restaurant as well as a company that rented us canoes to float down the Dordogne. We love this hotel... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Villa des Consuls in this delightful town; in spite of a bit of cold & rainy weather, we really didn't want to leave Sarlat! The location of this lodging really can't be beat - in the heart of town, yet our room was very quiet. David was fantastic to work with during the booking... More

I was very excited to spend my big birthday in the Dordogne valley region, and was a little uncertain about what city and hotel to stay in. It turns out that Sarlat is the center of the region and staying at La Villa des Consuls is the center of that city. It truly is a great location - you step... More

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in early April. The location in Sarlat is excellent, within walking distance to anything you would want or need. The refrigerator and coffee pot in the room were a welcome addition, as was the laundry room. The owner was helpful with directions and recommendations and communication prior to arriving. We reserved... More

We stayed in an apartment at La Villa des Consuls for 3 nights and loved it. David has thought of everything to make a stay comfortable, even a guest laundry. His initial email communication was very quick. His restaurant recommendations were very good. We had a bit of trouble trying to find the street for taking our luggage, and David... More

We can, without hesitation, agree with the other favourable reviews of this hotel. We stayed there for two days. Our room was attractively furnished and the manager (with fluent English) was very helpful, going well beyond routine matters.
