What a wonderful experience we had staying two nights at this bed-and-breakfast. The location was perfect. Parking was a little bit of a challenge, but the owner was able to help us find parking rather easily. You can walk to the famous Sarlat Saturday market. The proprietor who is a woman was very friendly and helpful. If you stay here... More

We stayed for 2 nights in mid October. The room layout was adapted to a cottage style room with the bed at one end, the entrance in the middle, and the bathroom up a stair at the other end. The room had a very comfortable French country feel, especially with a stone garden and patio set outside. The bed was... More

Very pleasant! The room/bed was very comfy and updated….. the hostess warm and conversational, and the French breakfast tasty. Great location for exploring Sarlat and the surrounding Dordogne area. You can't drive to the address, but the pay lot just to the south is only steps away. Parking available, but a little tricky. The pay lot is free after 4pm... More

The hosts, Michele and Patrick, were fantastic...friendly, helpful, very pleasant! Michele was so welcoming the second we entered through the iron gate. The location was perfect for walking to the old town center. Room was comfortable and opened directly to a peaceful, enclosed garden. A delicious breakfast was served in the main house dining room. This room had a very,... More

Charming b/b right in the centre of Sarlat. Michelle the owner was very friendly and welcoming. The property was very old and charming. The rooms were garden rooms, which had been very tastefully done, very comfortable and Bathroom facilities very good. Breakfast was in the main building and a very delicious breakfast. Michelle was so nice, so very helpful about... More

Wonderful Chambre d'Hote within a 2 minute walk of the old town. We had the room at the end of the garden which was lovely. Michele couldn't have been more welcoming, on arrival we were lost and she came to find us, jumped in the car and showed us the way! Beautiful breakfast in a pretty dining room, and excellent... Sarlat Cote Jardin is a little difficult to find but when you enter the gateway and are confronted by the lovely garden and setting of the individual rooms, this is easily forgotten. Usually you will be met by Max, the dog who is a real character followed by either Michelle or Patrick who will show you to your quarters. Breakfast... More

We were fortunate to spend 2 wonderful nights at Sarlat Cote Jardin with the lovely Michele. Our room was at the end of the garden and was impeccably clean, spacious and decorated with style and great taste. Breakfast was ample, tasty and beautifully laid out at the table in the courtyard. The location of Cote Jardin is absolutely brilliant being... More

The Michelin Guide is fairly dismissive of Sarlat, but we found it charming and full of medieval gems. It also had a ring of authenticity which some other medieval towns in the Dordogne definitely lack. The farmers market on Wednesday, when the narrow pedestrian streets of the old town are thronged with people, dogs, and stallholders is a chaotic delight.... More
