Our 3-night stay at the Le Renoir was wonderful! The hotel is conveniently located within 5 minutes' walk from the town center and 10-minute walk to the Sarlat train station. We had reserved a room overlooking the swimming pool, but, since the pool was closed for the Winter, we were offered a larger corner room with no great views but... More

We really enjoyed our two nights at this hotel. The staff are WONDERFUL and make all the difference. Our room was very comfortable, sunny, quiet and clean. Parking on the street is very easy here. It is the perfect distance from the old section of the city, just a brief stroll and you are there. We didn't have breakfast at... More

Turn down an unprepossessing side street and open the gate in a wall, suddenly it opens up into a sheltered garden, the centre of which is taken up by a swimming pool. The accommodation split between the main hotel and a delightful building across the courtyard. Rooms vary in decor but all are clean, bright and comfortable. There is a... More

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights, to explore the area, while on the way down further south. We couldn't have chosen better. Lovely room, (we had a confort room) which had a queen size bed and a very large bathroom. The hotel is situated right in the centre of Sarlat, near the old town, just 2 minutes... More

We were very pleased with the Le Renoir. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet and a very good, varied breakfast was provided. All the staff members were courteous and friendly and always willing to give assistance, when required. The hotel is 12-15 minutes walk from the train station but it is downhill. The bus stop for the bus... More

I felt the hotel was nicely located to walk to everything. The room was good sized with a very comfortable bed and a squeaky closet door that was annoying. It was clean but had a very thin carpet. I had a view of the pool and courtyard with a roll down shade on the outside of the window that blocked... More

Its not that Le Renoir was particularly bad - its just that, with some much else on offer in and around Sarlat, you could, without doubt, find a better alternative. The hotel is handily enough located, albeit not in a particularly attractive street, close to the centre of town. Our one night stopover was booked as part of a package... More
