Interesting and decorative old villa in a typical 'Arcachon' style in a very quiet area of town. Our room must have been one of the smaller ones, quite basic but adequate. We arrived a little later than expected (about 5pm) after quite a long drive, and there were no parking spaces left. Initially the receptionist said we must find a... More

Le Dauphin has a certain 'ald fashioned" style. It's not the great luxury or the modern hotel room with a lot of space that you'll get but it is a good three star 'french' hotel. that It has the spirit and soul of the old villa houses. There is a small swimming pool and there are also bycicles to rent... More

Firstly, the receptionist was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were a little late arriving but he pointed out the swimming pool and said we were still welcome to have a dip (much needed after hours on the road in traffic jams). The hotel is very pretty on the outside but basic and a little worn in... More

This was an ok hotel for a beach town. Very informal, full of teenagers and kids, nothing fancy. But it had parking, was a nice 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Don't expect too much guidance from the front desk. It was fine and inexpensive and does like pretty neat from the outside.

Nothing special at all about this hotel. Old, small rooms, small bathroom, the smallest of twin beds, ... we moved hotels. Much better choices for a little more euros. I would of expected this to cost maybe 95Euro per night at the very most.

On arrival it looked a bit like a French Faulty Towers. but Basil was not there. Well located for both the sea and the town with plenty of parking. Criticism could be made of the size of the rooms particularly is you were staying for more than 2/3 days. Adequate Breakfast and reasonably priced for the area

The hotel was easy to find and has plenty of parking , which would be essential in summer. Very convenient position for the town and beach. The rooms are very small and very dated, The twin room had two small beds which were not comfortable and no space around them It was okay for one night but any longer would... More

By staying at Hotel Opera in Bordeaux for (2) nights, a 20% discount to this hotel was offered (same owners). The Hotel Dauphin is well located, with a 5 mins walk to the Arcachon Bay. Room (#410) was confortable and our bathroom was new, with a bath and shower (we had seen negative comments on this element, but it was... More

We booked this hotel as our first choice was closed for a winter spruce up & we got a deal including breakfast. There is nothing really negative to say about this place - rooms are slightly small but perfectly adequately appointed & warm (ours had 2 balconies). Staff were very friendly (speaking some English too), breakfast was good & we... More

Stayed there four nights for a business trip. The room and bathroom was rather small but given that I was alone this was absolutely fine. The staff was friendly, breakfast ok. The beach is within walking distance of less than ten minutes. I did it several times in about six, but I'm a rather fast walker.
