Driving from Strassbourg to Mulhouse at 1am after a hard day in Paris, you need a nice, easy, quick welcome, and that's exactly what we got. Friendly, older chap on reception, room keys ready, no problems. I would agree totally with the review posted in November. The hotel was quite full when we stayed there. We had a good dinner and breakfast with good and attentive service and the rooms were adequately if sparsely furnished. However by early evening the repception area was full of airline crew and hardened smokers and the musty smell just made... more

Upon arrival in Mulhouse we found a nice looking Mercure hotel... but alas, it wasn't te only we'd booked a room in (through Expedia). Just down the circle was another one, we'd already passed it and considered it closed and abondoned, but apparently it was not... We arrived there after a few hours car drive and first enjoyed the large outdoor swimming pool. While located in an industrial / commercial zone, the beauty of the place is its neighbourhood to 4 European highways, the Euroairport Basel and the city of Mulhouse all less than 5 min. away.
