Stayed here over Christmas as part of a group. Lovely old place, like an old coaching inn, with internal courtyard which is open to the elements with rooms situated around on three floors. Comfortable rooms, ensuite, all very different. Staff helpful. No lift and wooden stairs a bit tricky when wet, but there are internal carpeted ones. Breakfast fine, no... More

pretty hotel in the lovely town of Obernai, no facilities for meals but very central, also train station nearby & staff very helpful. Rooms are all slightly different & also clean, it is a lovely place to be based to explore the wine region of Alsace

Booked in for a single night with 6 others, efficient service, rooms were functional, clean and reasonably modern. Wifi was a disaster, so if on business this needs to be factored in. Breakfast was sufficient if a little cramped space wise.

Nice hotel with spacy rooms. It has two stars only but it has its own charm. There is no elevator and you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The breakfast is a bit limited but meets French standard for this kind of hotels.

Le Gouverneur is close to the ramparts free parking lot and basically in the center. 50 meters from the pedestrian area with many shops and restaurants. Reception isn't 24 hours. Rooms were basic but nice. No aircon, good wifi. Mind the stairs. They are very steep and narrow. Didn't try the breakfast as there are too many places for fresh... More

Stayed for two nights in early August 2014. The location is perfect, on the old town ramparts, the restaurants start on the other side of the road. Spacious airy rooms, tastefully decorated and very well soundproofed - I was concerned about the two young boisterous boys next door, but we couldn't hear a sound :-). No aircon, but the large... This hotel is well placed near the centre of Obernai. My room was on the first floor (no lift), no aircon (but I knew this) and strange decoration. On the plus side, the room was comfortable, with good free wifi, a decent breakfast and the hotel offers private parking for €5 per day. There are many places to eat nearby.

Why on earth is this only a two-star Hotel? There is no minibar in the room and no elevator to the second floor but this hotel should have at least 3 stars. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated. We have stayed in at least 20 different hotels in Alsace and this was one of the best considering price quality.... More

As a group of nine people we stayed in this very rustic but comfortable hotel in Obernai, Alsace for two nights. All rooms where very comfortable and well decorated. The service given to us by the very well trained staff was outstanding and could not have being better. Breakfast was a buffet and very well equipped. The whole hotel and... More

Historic and beautiful hotel -- solid stone construction with wood timbers and central courtyard. 700 years old, built into town wall, residence of town governor. Totally converted into comfortable hotel several years ago. Attractive good-sized rooms, good furnishings, very clean, quality bathroom. Each room named and uniquely furnished. Fine buffet breakfast at very reasonable 9 Euro price. Hotel price reasonable... More
