We stayed stayed here for 4 nights. We used it as a base to explore the surrounding area and thought it was a really great value with free parking and free WiFi too. The rooms themselves are comfortable and roomy and we felt very safe at night. Best thing: Mom and I are not be best sleepers so we were... More

The village of Eguisheim is just gordious with all its abundant flowers, picturesque houses, narrow cobble stoned streets and endless winemakers surrounded by vineyards all along the Alsacian hillsides. This Hostellerie is perfectly located just where the old parts of the village start. It is an old building tastefully renovated and expanded in a modern way but keeping or even... More

We booked this hotel only the night before we arrived to stay. Firstly, to say that this is a magnificent looking hotel, with all the traditional paintwork and a lovely courtyard restaurant out front. Also its setting is perfect, right in Eguisheim, just steps from the start of the pedestrianized part of the village. We booked a triple room, and... More

The room was not air conditioned, had only one window to open just above a noisy terrace and there was no mosquito net. There was only a bathtub in the bathroom and no possibility to take a a howler. The shower hose bursted during use. We booked this place because it was a good location to take a rest on... More

I am really sorry, but this was a big disappointment. The room was very much standard nothing special and quiet small. The breakfast was poor. Ok, we came late to the breakfast, 30 minutes before the end of the official breakfast time, so that most of all had been eaten already and no refill was provided. So we had to... More

Plus points: * location next to the city centre of Eguisheim * large private parking space * nice food: a lot of choice for breakfast (pie, cake, fresh fruit, cornflakes, croissants, French bread, a selection of cheese, eggs, champagne, orange juice, tea and coffee) and a very tasty 3-course-diner. Minus points: * Small room with small bathroom (although it was... More

For our second visit to Eguisheim we had no qualms about returning to the same hotel for a two night stay. It’s well placed, has a delightful courtyard and an excellent breakfast. All that is still true, but for most of our stay the atmosphere was one of moderate disinterest from the staff. The reason for this was easy to... More

The hotel is located at the very heart of Equisheim - 'the most beautiful town of France', as it claims and I have to agree that it is a wonderful little medieval towns, like out of a fairytale. The town is for pedestrians mainly, therefore it is a great advantage for the hotel to have a free parking lot. Rooms... More

Two years ago I extolled the virtues of the restaurant for lunch. Unfortunately the Maitre D and the chef left shortly thereafter. We have been a few times since and have been sorely disappointed. Service chaotic, embarrassingly long and food not great... cannot recommend under its present ownership.

I do not recommend this hotel. Just got back from Alsace. I spent a lot of time researching villages in advance, but ultimately looked for a great hotel in the region and let that dictate which village(s) i'd base myself. This hotel seemed great and Eguisheim looked awesome AND there happened to be a wine fest at the time, so... More
