The website with its jazzy music and nice pictures lead me to believe this hotel would be stylish or sophisticated when in fact it is a very mainstream hotel that is in DRIVING distance to some good beaches. First comes first Porto Vecchio was awful. Do not choose this place if you are going to Corsica. I have never in my life seen this many mosquitoes. We stayed one week at the Golfe Hotel in Porto Vecchio in August of 2003. It was very comfortable, private, charming and clean. The restaurant breakfast and dinner (which we purchased with our room stay), was excellent. The breakfast was fresh, with much variety for the light or hearty eater.
