My husband and daughter and I stayed here for two nights as part of a 6 day trip. We wanted to eat in the restaurant the first night but as my husband had no long trousers we were refused entry. The MaitreD was really unpleasant and disrespectful. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with a laid back disposition.

We have just returned from our trip to Corsica, the island of beauty. Hotel Le Maquis was our last stop, and we stayed there for three nights. The hotel is beautifully located on a small, quiet, beautiful bay, and it seems like a private one. The hotel stands just at the water's edge. Inside, everything is so beautiful, with many... More

We were in Corsica this November with our friends from Antibes, France. They have stayed at the Hotel/Restaurant Le Maquis many times and wanted to show it to us, because it is one of their favorites. After we visited and had dinner at the hotel, we understand why they love it. The meal was outstanding and the decor of the... More

We spent one night at Le Maquis and very much enjoyed our stay. The hotel feels like not much has changed there in a long time, but that is part of the ambiance. You feel like you have stepped back in time into a large villa owned by someone with very eclectic taste in decor. The room was huge, staff... More

We stayed at Le Maquis for 4 days in mid June and it was wonderful from start to finish. In fact, we didn't left the hotel environs from check in to the moment we checked out. Quiet, understated luxury with a superb restaurant and attentive, happy staff. The private cove was blissfully quiet compared to local public beaches...usually only one... More

This charming hotel was built in 1949 and has a quaint atmosphere. Located right on the water, I would strongly recommend a sea view room. Please note the two disadvantages were there was no iron or coffee offered in the room. There was a fee for both services which are usually included in most hotel rooms. The staff were all... More

My wife and I spent a night at La Maquis the week before last and cannot fault it. The hotel, despite being on a fairly small site, has made the most of the space available, and has lots of character, with a lovely terrace, a welcoming pool, well tended gardens and a private beach. I agree with another reviewer who... More

Wow, I still can not forget our one night at this superb hotel. From the very beginning everything was exceptional. The hotel is actually a manor or a castle located at the sea side, with beautiful view to the bay. Our rooms were perfect, well equipped, there was everything you might need. The bathroom was large and had a view... More

The pictures on the website does not look that good. It's better if you are there. Outside the hotel is only the road and nothing much. For a nice walk, you need to drive somewhere else. Parking is free and easy in front of the hotel. We stayed in room #31 with a nice balcony and great view. The bathroom... More

All depends what you expect from Le Maquis. Generally problems arise when your expectations not found with reality. If you are looking for jolly and modern place, where everyone sings and hums you do not have to came here. It is quit and elegant place with aristocratic spirit. The Hotel located right on the beach. This boutique, surroudeed by greenery,... More
