Not what it appears to be! It is certainly a nice hotel, with large comfortable rooms, but the service stinks!! We went there with friends who had award vouchers from freq flier miles - thank goodness, because it is grossly overpriced for the poor quality of service. We spent two nights at the Sofitel Porticcio for our anniversary and enjoyed it for the most part. After spending 2 weeks in a simple house in the north of Corsica, it was great luxury to come to the Sofitel. I'm a big fan of Corsica, we try to go there every couple of years. This Sofitel is near Ajaccio (car recommended). The rooms had just been refurbished (flat screen, Sofitel mybed, etc).
